Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Update 1.008.001 Pushed Out to Fix Purple Grass Bug

While we just got the huge 1.08 patch for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered last week that brought in a new transmog outfit feature and other fixes, it also brought in a bug for color blind mode. On December 16, Nixxes Software released Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered update 1.008.001 on PS5, and this is to fix that specific issue affecting the Japanese version of the game.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Update 1.008.001 Released as a Hotfix for Purple Grass Bug
According to Nixxes, “This update fixes a bug in the Japanese version of the game that caused tall grass to appear as purple when Color Blind mode is turned off.”
Not only is this bug only visible on color blind mode on, but it’s also for the Japanese version of the game. Talk about being specific, huh? That said, a bug is a bug, and thankfully, the developers are quick to address these issues, be they big or small.
Will we get another patch before the year is over? I don’t think we will, though if we do get one, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
In news about the franchise’s future, while Sony hasn’t confirmed whether we’ll see Horizon 3, the long0-rumored multiplayer spin-off project for the franchise is said to be targeting a release in 2025.
