Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s New Update 1.031 Addresses Quest, Visual Issues

Last week, Warhorse Studios released the game’s first DLC alongside a new patch that added horse racing to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Unfortunately, a bunch of issues also surfaced with that patch, which is being addressed with today’s KCD2 hotfix.
Console gamers will see this as Kingdome Come Deliverance 2 update 1.031, which the studio calls Hotfix 1.3.1 and it’s meant to address quest issues and more.

Environment
– Fixed the positioning of the player’s bed at Kreyzl’s mill so that it is now correctly available to the player.
Save/Load
– When creating a new manual save while at maximum save capacity, the game now correctly overwrites the slot selected by the player instead of overwriting the oldest manual save.
Tutorials
– Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred after resetting the tutorials.
UI
– Edited formatting for the prompt about opening the EULA.
Visuals
– Fixed frequent flickering issues.
Platform-specific
– Xbox – Fixed a crash that occurred when resuming the game after installing the DLC.
– GOG and Steam – Fixed the Lion’s Crest not being listed in the DLC menu section.
Quests
Brushes with Death (General)
– Fixed Voyta still mentioning more interesting work coming up once the player reaches Kuttenberg, even after this is no longer appropriate.
– Included missing German and Czech voiceover lines.
– Revised several German and Chinese translations.
A Sketchy Situation
– Fixed shadows from nearby vegetation affecting the initial cutscene under certain weather conditions.
Horses for Courses
– Fixed the final reward perks being mistakenly swapped.
Oratores
– Fixed Ruthard Manor becoming closed to the player if they agree to explore the underground in the dialogue with Samuel while being outside Ruthard Manor.
The King’s Gambit
– Fixed the player sometimes becoming stuck after bowing to Sigismund.
Unveiling
– Fixed Voyta remaining in his working clothes before the final cutscene.
– Fixed Chrudosh’s reaction to the player killing the bandits.
Portrait in Red
– Prevented Burkhard from automatically dying when falling unconscious; also prevented him from falling unconscious.
