Marathon Down on March 31 to Apply Patch 1.0.5.2

Another week, and another Marathon patch is due for release. But before that happens, Bungie needs to take the Marathon servers down on March 31 before the update is applied.

For those that are seeing issues logging in, don’t fret, this is for standard maintenance, which will take a few hours.

For the schedule of the downtime, read on. During the downtime, players will see update 1.0.5.2 released across all platforms.

Tuesday, March 31, 2026 — Update 1.0.5.2

5:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon will undergo maintenance.
  • Sign-on will be unavailable.
  • Players actively in runs will be able to complete them.
5:30AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon will begin being brought offline for expected maintenance.
  • Players will start being removed from activities.
~7:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • The latest Marathon update is expected to become available across all platforms and regions.

~8:00 AM PDT

UTC-7

  • Players are expected to be able to log back into Marathon.
  • Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
9:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon maintenance is expected to conclude.
  • Console players who encounter issues updating should restart their console and try downloading the update.
  • Players who observe issues should report to the Marathon Help Forum.

If the downtime gets extended, which happens from time to time, we’ll update the article with the info.

Once the patch is out, expect it here on MP1st. Speaking of patches, the other extraction shooter, ARC Raiders, received its major Flashpoint update today.
