Marathon New Update 1.018 Released on May 26 to Apply Version 1.0.9.1
As part of today’s downtime, Bungie has rolled out Marathon’s new update, which appears as console version 1.018 (complete version 1.018.000), and this brings a relatively short of fixes.
Bungie calls this patch version 1.0.9.1, and this is what the game should be at once players have applied the patch, which players can see in the main menu screen.

Item Economy
- Fixed an issue where loot previews could briefly show the wrong item when inspecting nearby loot.
- Improved clarity for item-related UI messaging in specific flows.
Runners
- Rook:
- Fixed an issue that would cause Rook to spawn inside of shipping containers on Dire Marsh. Their bloodlust has been unleashed once again.
User Interface
- Fixed several issues causing UI elements, notifications or interface states to display incorrect or outdated information.
Zones
Perimeter
- Fixed an issue in Hauler where part of the map could disappear at certain distances.
Cryo Archive
- Fixed an issue that would allow Crews to get in the airlock after the Compiler has already been engaged.
Stability
- Fixed a variety of issues that could lead to crashes, disconnects, or general instability.
In case you didn’t know, Bungie is going all-in on Marathon, as live-service content for Destiny 2 is coming to an end. With Destiny 3 reportedly not in active development, the studio has to make Marathon work, or we expect they won’t be around for long.
As for the next wave of content, Marathon Season 2 starts June 2, and it will bring a new map, faster progression and more.
