Update: Konami has released the patch notes.

METAL GEAR SOLID 2: Sons of Liberty – Master Collection Version

• Changed the in-game browser to Microsoft Edge (Xbox Series X|S)
• Fixed an issue where sometimes trophies weren’t properly unlocked (PlayStation®4)

• Please note that some trophies cannot be unlocked immediately upon loading save data even if the requirements have previously been met. The requirements of these trophies must be met again in order for them to be unlocked.

• Fixed some minor issues and made additional adjustments (Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4)

Konami has not released any official patch notes for this update yet, but we do have details from the game’s PS4 update history. Check out the details down below.

• Fixed the issues with the Trophies.

Despite the shortcomings, I still recommend this collection to anyone, especially those who never played these games. They’re simple ports of games that are considered to be among the best. The Metal Gear Solid Trilogy is a masterpiece everyone has to play. And that’s been the biggest issue over the last decades where there was no real good way to play them all, outside of emulators on PC. With Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, Konami has provided a convenient way to do just that on modern and future consoles. Let’s hope Vol. 2 has more effort put into it next time, as most of those games should be based on mostly recent titles.
