Konami has released Metal Gear Solid update 1.04 this January 8 on all platforms, which brings some new graphic options for the Master Collection Vol. 1. Read on for what’s new in the MGS new update patch notes.

Added new screen setting features

The settings for each of these features can be changed both before and during gameplay.

  • Smoothing – Can be turned ON or OFF.
  • Game Screen Settings – Can be set to “Standard”, “Pixel Perfect”, or “16:9”.
  • Screen Filter – Can be turned ON or OFF.

Added an audio settings feature

Settings for the game volume and main menu volume can be changed prior to play.

Only the game volume can be changed during play.

  • Fixed some other minor issues

Issues Under Investigation

We are investigating the issues below and working to resolve them. We will provide further details regarding fixes for these issues at a later time.

  • An issue in which certain cutscenes stop playing
  • An issue in which analog input does not work as intended

We will continue to provide regular updates on future improvements and fixes as further details are finalized.
