No Man's Sky update 6.21

As expected, given the massive content drop that was the Remnant patch for No Man’s Sky earlier this week, developer Hello Games has pushed out the first hotfix today, February 13.

Console gamers will see No Man’s Sky update 6.21/6.021 (complete version 6.021.000), live across consoles and PC, and this applies a short list of fixes.

Read on for everything that got changed today.

No Man’s Sky First Remnant Hotfix Released on February 13

The first set of fixes for Remnant is as follows:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause invisible collision in Atlas Stations.
  • Fixed an issue that caused networked player markers to always show their distance label, even when not aiming the reticle at the marker.
  • Fixed an issue that caused networked player markers to be missing their “Busy” label when the player was unavailable for interaction.
  • Fixed an issue that caused networked player markers to be missing their platform icon.
  • Fixed a timing-specific crash that could occur when destroying obstacles with the Colossus Excavation Blade.
  • Fixed a memory-related crash on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.

There was also a patch released for the PC version yesterday, whcih included the following fixes:

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue which caused Corvette collision to be incorrect when landed on planets.
  • Fixed an issue which caused some PCVR setups to have lower than intended graphical quality.

If you haven’t logged into No Man’s Sky recently, the Remnant update introduces the following content:

“Upgrade your Multi-Tool and harness the power of gravity in update 6.2, Remnant! Magnetise, carry, and launch stacks of industrial waste – and transport your haul in your off-road Colossus. Deck out your vehicle with custom modules and technologies; process salvage; join the community in a cross-country expedition – and much more!”

Expect more fixes to be rolled out in the coming days and weeks if past major content drops are any indication.
