Overwatch 2 Update 1.000.044 Drops for PS5 This June 25

Heads up! It seems Overwatch 2 update 1.000.044 is now out for download, and it’s just for the PS5, as far as we’re aware. This should fix the frame drop issue happening since last week’s Season 11 patch.

According to Blizzard, here are the latest fixes released:

Recently Resolved

• We recently resolved issues with graphic quality and performance for those playing on PlayStation^® 5.
• We resolved an issue with new Voice Lines from the Season 11 Battle Pass. You can now equip any earned voice lines.
• We fixed an issue causing game crashes when playing Moira in the Community Crafted mode. You can now play Moira again in this mode.

As for current issues (not gameplay balancing related), being looked into, Blizzard has listed those as well.

Current Issues

• We are aware of an issue where Voice and Text chat may not work for some players.
• We are aware of an issue where Daily and Weekly challenges may mistakenly reset for some players.

If this patch becomes available on PS4 or other platforms, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. As far as we’re aware, this patch does not bring any new content or affect game balance in any way.
