Phasmophobia Hotfix for May 15 Released as Update 1.000.038
Kinetic Games is back with another patch for Phasmophobia, and this is the third one for the week.
As one might expect, given that we just received the Alan Wake crossover content drop, this follow-up patch is another hotfix to resolve issues.
Players will see this appear as Phasmophobia update 1.000.038 on May 15.
Phasmophobia’s Third Patch of the Week Resolves Crashing Issues
The changelog for today’s patch mentions:
- Fixed an issue that was causing a crash across all platforms.
For reference, the earlier hotfix released the other day applied the following fixes:
Fixes
- Fixed an issue that caused held equipment/items to visually stutter when moving.
- Fixed several issues that lead to game crashes.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Kormos to detect dead players and attempt to kill them.
- Fixed an issue where the Kormos could detect sound from dead players.
- Fixed an issue where the Coffee World tent names were incorrect.
- Other fixes and improvements.
In addition to that, we’re still expecting a patch as soon as next week, as the developers have acknowledged a fair amount of issues that they are working on.
- Players can become locked when interacting with the Truck’s CCTV screen while using a Spirit Box.
- Visual issues may be experienced using the Angel Lamp while holding an EMF Reader.
- Page dropping audio may be heard while solving Nursery Rhyme riddles in Multiplayer.
- Photos taken with the Tier 1 Photo Camera by a player may appear incorrect in another player’s Journal.
- A slight delay in the EMF Reader animation, but no effect on gameplay (console only).
- Slight visual issues with various equipment animations.
- Slight visual issues with host’s ID Card if another player leaves a lobby.
- Tier 1 Spirit Box may become invisible on Oh Deer Diner if held while interacting with the Truck’s CCTV.
- If a player moves a door, other player’s will not hear the audio.
For those wondering why these issues have yet to be resolved even if Kinetic has already released two hotfixes, it’s due to the certification process, and of course, fixing a crashing issue is more important than some of the minor bugs that are still in the game.
