The First Descendant New Update 1.16 Fires Out for Aim Assist Fixes This Aug. 14
Nexon has pushed out another title update for The First Descendant this August 14 (Aug. 15 for those outside the US), and this is a minor patch that ushers a short list of fixes. Console gamers will see this as The First Descendant new update 1.16 (TFD PS5 version update 1.016), and the major fix here is the aim assist fix.
Note that this patch has been released without any server downtime.

The patch released earlier in the week wbich is for version 1.0.7, includes a huge list of fixes and adjustments. Not only that, but it even teased the arrival of a new descendant, which is described as “The new Descendant is armed with cold fury and ready to strike. What do you think is her greatest strategy?”
As for the August known issues mentioned above, it listed three issues that seem to be resolved for now.
- (Resolved) Found issue with Aim Assist Function Not Working Properly
- (Resolved)’Strengthen First Shot’ Module Non-reset Error
- Misprint of values when equipping the Maximize Resist module
The only issues in its known issues board that have yet to be resolved are the following (from launch until today):
Additional) Intel CPU Issue.
– Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.
– On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating ‘Out of video memory’ when launched.
Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs
– We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented.
Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly
– If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.
