Borderlands 2 – No Gear-Up Weekend For DLC 4, But Expect Other ‘Goodies’ In The Coming Weeks

Vault hunters awaiting news about the typical gear-up weekend which usually celebrates the release of a future DLC for Borderlands 2 may be saddened to know that Gearbox won’t be putting the event on this time.

According to the community manager over at Gearbox, Chris F., it’s because the studio was trying something new with the release of Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon’s Keep, but the timing, unfortunately, didn’t work out as planned. These things take weeks or months to properly prepare for, he says.

Although details for the studio does have in store for Borderlands 2 fans are scarce, Chris F. did reveal that they have prepared other ‘goodies’ which are set to appear in the upcoming weeks.

Additionally, Gearbox also recently released a trailer of the first five minutes of Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon’s Keep. Though the footage is rather old, this time around, it doesn’t have commentary on it like the past video. Check it out below:

Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon’s Keep, will be released this Tuesday for the PC, PS3, Mac and Xbox 360 for free if you purchased the Borderlands 2 season pass. Those who didn’t can purchase this campaign add-on for $9.99 USD or 800 Microsoft Points.
