Battlefield 4 Second Assault Comes to Xbox One November 22 [Updated]

Update

Upon noticing the official Battlefield 4 website which still lists the Second Assault becoming available “post launch first for Xbox One consumers,” we reached out to EA for clarification on the release date of the DLC.

According to a response given to us, the original source may have been misinformed and DICE or EA have “yet to officially announce SA’s release date.” As it stands, Second Assault will still arrive on the Xbox One first, but at a date which is currently unannounced.

Original Story

Battlefield 4 fans picking up the Xbox One this November 22nd will be in for a bit of a treat, as an EA UK spokes person has confirmed that the Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC will not only launch on the Xbox One first, but it will also be available the day Xbox One launches.

Players will be able to download Battlefield 4 Second Assault on November 22nd as either a standalone package (no price announced) or for no extra cost through their Battlefield 4 Premium subscription, available for purchase now. It has yet been specified when the DLC will arrive to other platforms.

Second Assault brings back four fan-favorite Battlefield 3 maps re-imangined in the Frostbite 3 engine for Battlefield 4. According to screen grabs from the Battlefield 4’s Premium trailer, it appears players will have the chance to revisit maps like Operation Firestorm, Operation Métro, Gulf of Oman and Caspain Border, though not exactly as they appeared in Battlefield 3.

You’ll be able to catch your first glimpse of Second Assault this November 1 on Xbox Live during the Battlefield 4: Showdown Live tournament being held in London, UK.
