Those who shelled out the extra cash to pick up the Premium membership for Battlefield 4 are in for a bit of a bad news.

The Premium Double XP event that was initially set to go live on December 29 has apparently been postponed until a later date, according to a message that appears on the Battlelog. It reads the following:

“THE END OF DECEMBER 2XP EVENT FOR PREMIUM MEMBERS HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL BE RUN AT A LATER DATE. STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.”

This, of course, shouldn’t come as much of a surprise as Battlefield 4 players across all platforms have been experiencing issues with the servers during the past weekend. Players have reported not being able to join games or their stats being incorrectly wiped.

At the moment DICE hasn’t made an official announcement as to when we can expect the Premium-exclusive event to be rescheduled, but we hope it’s soon.

Currently, for those who aren’t happy with their Battlefield Premium subscription on the Xbox 360 or Xbox One platforms can ask Microsoft for a refund.
