Developer Treyarch is throwing things back this weekend with a special Double XP Weekend event for 2012’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
The studio tweeted out the news earlier today in celebration of the newly released Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 teaser trailer:

As the tweet mentions, the start and stop times for double XP and double weapon XP are Friday, 10:00 AM PST and Monday, 10:00 AM PST.
Likely following suit is Sledgehammer Games with a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Double XP Weekend of their own. The studio tweeted this out:

UPDATE: Sledgehammer has updated fans on Twitter, saying that this weekend’s Double XP weekend event in Advanced Warfare will also including an increased chance to score Elite gear in Supply Drops.
