Xbox One Game DVR Will Record at 720p and 30 FPS

When the Xbox One launches this November, gamers will also be able to record game footage using the console’s built in game DVR.

While you’ll be able to play games like Forza Motorsport 5 at 1080p and 60 frames per second, and while the Xbox One can even support resolutions as high as 4K according to reports from Polygon, Microsoft’s Marc Whitten recently confirmed to IGN that Xbox One’s game DVR will record at 720p and 30 frames per second.

“Game DVR captures beautiful clips at 720p 30 [frames per second],” said Whitten.

He added that “Your clips are stored in the cloud. You’ll be able to see these clips in the Xbox One Guide, in your own game DVR collection and when you are looking at gamercards on the system.”

Previously, it was announced that The Xbox One can record the last five minutes of gameplay in a program called Project Upload.
