Battlefield Hardline Full DLC Season Outlined In Premium Reveal

EA is once again offering Battlefield fans the chance to go Premium with this year’s release from developer Visceral Games.

Battlefield Hardline Premium, officially revealed earlier today, is a $50 season pass that grants subscribers access to four digital expansions packs, exclusive new features, and a handful of perks throughout the course of Hardline’s life cycle.

Players can upgrade now, getting access to the following after Battlefield Hardline launches on March 17:

  • Four super features:
    • MasksNew player masks with unique gameplay benefits tied to the theme of each mask.
    • Gun BenchProvides players with the ability to visually customize their weapons and track their kills per weapon.
    • Competitive PlaySupport for competitive play through Battlefield Hardline Premium-access only tournaments and ladders.
    • Legendary StatusProvides replayability of the entire progression system.
  • Four digital expansion packs featuring new multiplayer maps, modes, vehicles, in-game content and a story themed throughout all four:
    • Battlefield Hardline: Criminal ActivityPlayers have to make a name for themselves in fast-paced, highly-destructible new maps littered with small-time crime jobs. Available summer 2015.
    • Battlefield Hardline: RobberyTake down the opposition head on and progress through key locations with major cinematic action. Available summer 2015.
    • Battlefield Hardline: GetawayThis is frantic, high-speed chases that immerse players deeper in the heist. Available fall 2015.
    • Battlefield Hardline: BetrayalThere is a rat in every operation and players will have to find out who to trust. Available winter early 2016.
  • Premium perks:
    • Two weeks early access to all expansion packs
    • 12 Gold Battlepacks
    • New personalization options including gun camos, ammo skins, and more Battlefield Hardline Premium exclusive in-game items
    • Access to double-XP, in-game missions, and more Battlefield Hardline Premium exclusive events
    • Priority position in server queues

DICE’s Battlefield 4 offered a similar Premium service back in 2013, though with one additional expansion pack. Instead, it sounds like gamers coughing up the $50 for Battlefield Hardline Premium will benefit from more features than previous Battlefield or Medal of Honor season passes were able to offer.

If you’re a fan of personalizing your soldier with detailed customization features, Battlefield Hardline’s Mask and Gun Bench options might be right up your alley. Meanwhile, Premium will give the most hardcore of hardcore Battlefield players something to do once they reach maximum rank: the option to reset their rank, attain “Legendary Status”, and progress through Hardline’s unlock system once more.

What’s your take on EA and Visceral’s Premium offering this year? Are you signing up?
