There are a couple of things worth noting regarding the promotion. For starters, the deal is only available to those who’ve purchased the Starter Edition of Final Fantasy 14. Players who are still on the game’s free trial will be unable to claim this expansion. Aside from this, only existing purchasers of the Starter’s Edition seem to be eligible, so you won’t be able to claim Stormblood if you bought the game now.
While not a whole lot of players may be eligible for the promotion, given the fact that many players already own the DLCs all the way to Endwalker, it’s still a neat bonus to have for those who are starting to dip their feet into FF14. The Starter Edition only gives access to A Realm Reborn and Heavensward, and adding Stormblood on top of that will give Starter Edition players even more content to try out at no extra cost.
