Fallout 76 New Update 2.16 Applies Burning Springs Fixes
As part of today’s maintenance, Bethesda has rolled out Fallout 76 update 2.16 on all platforms, and this aims to resolve issues with some of the issues that cropped up with the Burning Springs patch.
This is a hotfix and as such, does not contain any new content. Don’t expect this to resolve every issue out there.
Read on for what got fixed, as well as what known issues persist.
Fallout 76’s New Update on December 11 Applies Fixes to Burning Springs Issues via Patch 2.16
The list of known issues fixed with today’s patch includes:
- Fixed an issue which could cause some pets to not spawn correctly once their C.A.M.P. item was built.
- Fixed an issue blocking players from placing the Plastiform Vault Girl Elf decoration in their CAMP.
- Cherry Bomb Tinker’s Workbench has been readded to the C.A.M.P. build options.
- Consoles will now correctly play the new Main Menu music for Burning Springs.
- Ultracite Ammo will now correctly unlock for players when claiming receiver mods for the Dom Pedro.
- Fixed an issue which would cause the Pip-boy navigation to jump to the top of the list when learning new plans.
- Fixed an issue displaying the wrong sleeves when using firearms wearing the Ulysses Outfit.
- Disabled the Fire Cloak ability for Cletus Brimstone to prevent players from taking extra unintended damage. While his name has been cleared for causing player harm, this temporary fix unfortunately also cleared his name in-game. He will now be known as “LOOK UP FAILED” for the time being.
- Addressed an issue with an AOE attack from the Bleached Ogua that we believe was damaging player C.A.M.P.S. by temporarily disabling the ability.

The team is aware and are investigating an issue with the Burning Springs locations challenge not completing even though all locations have been visited.
No word on whether we’ll get another hotfix before the holidays hit, but if we do get one, expect it here on MP1st.
