Fallout 76 Update 2.30 Released on October 1 to Bring Fixes
While we should be getting a Halloween-themed patch for Fallout 76 at some point this month, today’s update isn’t it, and it mostly deals with bug fixes and more.
Console gamers will see the download as Fallout 76 update 2.30, and this should be a small download across all platforms.
Don’t expect today’s title update to fix all the issues the game is currently facing, as Bethesda has confirmed more fixes are on the way.
FO76 Update 2.30 Brings Technical Fixes
Today’s changelog includes the following fixes:
- Fixed various scenarios that were the leading cause of crashing on PlayStation and XBOX platforms.
- Fixed an issue with the Head Hunter Scythe, Cauterizer, and Drill Fist unique weapons where their unique appearance was incorrectly applied.
- Addressed a networking issue that caused XBOX players to experience more instances of lag, disconnects, and slow looting.
- Various other stability improvements.
Some of the issues that are still not fixed includes:
- The jet pack glitch won’t be fixed in this update, though Bethesda is aware of the issue.
- Atom Shop outfits that can’t be crafted won’t be fixed, but it is part of an upcoming update per Bethesda.
- Some unique weapon skins cannot be equipped when earned will be fixed in today’s patch, though not all.
- Stacked Grave Digger maps and crashed infestations getting instantly cleared
Bethesda’s Community Manager mentioned that today’s patch is to fix the overall game stability after the launch of the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions that were released last month. The upside is, there is a bigger October update set to be released, and that should fix a lot of issues.
