Fallout 76 Servers Down on October 1 Deliver an Update
Heads up, Wastelanders! Bethesda has taken the Fallout 76 servers down on October 1, and this is to apply a game update across all platforms.
While we usually see maintenance done on a Tuesday, Bethesda decided it’ll be Thursday this time, and we ain’t complaining.

Fallout 76 Servers Taken Down for Maintenance on Oct. 1
Per Bethesda, the downtime starts at 10 am ET/7 am PT/10 pm HKT. While there’s no specific timeframe, these things usually last for at least 3-5 hours, so don’t be surprised if you won’t be able to log in until the afternoon.
While the patch notes aren’t live yet, we do know some of the items that will be fixed and not fixed in today’s download.
- The jet pack glitch won’t be fixed in this update, though Bethesda is aware of the issue.
- Atom Shop outfits that can’t be crafted won’t be fixed, but it is part of an upcoming update per Bethesda.
- Some unique weapon skins cannot be equipped when earned will be fixed in today’s patch, though not all.
