Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Update 1.009 Adds Power Saver Feature
Heads up! Nixxes Software has pushed out Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered update 1.009, and this is a minor patch that adds a feature that should help in conserving energy.
While there’s no new in-game content, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered’s new update does add the Power Saver feature, which other first-party PlayStation games also received months ago. But hey, better late than never, right?
For more info about that, read on.
Horizon Zero Dawn Power Save Feature Added in July 23 Update
Here’s what’s been added today:
NEW FEATURES
- Added support for Power Saver settings.
For those unfamiliar with this feature, you can enable the Power Saver option via Settings > System > Power Saving > Use Power Saver.
Sony describes this feature as “When you turn on this option, supported PS5 games will scale back performance*** and will allow your PS5 to reduce its power consumption. If not enabled, or if games do not support the feature, the performance will not be scaled back and power consumption will not be reduced.”
Given Horizon Zero Dawn is a single-player game that’s been out for a while, don’t expect more updates for the game. That said, if we do get one, we’ll let our readers know.
Another thing PlayStation owners might want to update is their console, as Sony released a new PS5 firmware patch today.
