PlayStation Store Tokyo Game Show Sale Kicks Off
Sony has kicked off the latest PlayStation Store sale, called the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) promotion, which, surprisingly, doesn’t focus only on Japan-owned game companies.
While there are a significant number of discounts, the biggest deals include the re-release of Black Ops and Black Ops 2, Capcom’s Pragmata,and a slew of Resident Evil titles.

- Aero The Acro-Bat: Rascal Rival Revenge PS4® & PS5® -40% $3.59 – Remake of the original Aero. No clue how good this is but that’s one cheap price.
- Age of Wonders 4: Collector’s Bundle -40% $89.99 – Turn-based strategy by Triumph that’s still getting a lot of support to this day.
- Alien: Isolation – THE COLLECTION -70% $11.99 – Horror game where you’re not a space marine, sequel in development. Underrated horror game.
- Amnesia: Collection -80% $5.99 – Includes Dark Descent, Machine for Pigs, and Justine.
- Amnesia: Rebirth -80% $5.99 – Decent cosmic horror entry set in the Algerian desert. Heavy on narrative and annoying light management mechanics, making it less terrifying than The Dark Descent but still worth a run for lore fans.
- Assassin’s Creed Mythology pack -80% $31.99 – Compilation includes Valhalla, Odyssey, and Origins.
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ -45% $16.49 – Ubisoft open-world but with Avatar’s license. Some people like to play this game off-stream, man.
- Avowed -40% $29.99 – Obsidian’s latest Xbox RPG on PS5, can be played in first- or third-person. You can use magic, melee, and weapons. Reviewed well at release, but failed to meet sales expectations.
- Baby Steps -50% $9.99 – Quirky physics simulator game that has you learning how to walk, but you’re not a baby. Reviewed fairly well, but failed to generate buzz.
- Back 4 Blood: Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -90% $8.99 – Co-op zombie game. Support has ended but servers are still up. Sequel said to be in development. It’s fun and at that price, get your friends to pick it up for co-op
- Battlefield 4™ Premium Edition -80% $7.99 – Many consider this the best BF game of all-time. If playerbase is still there, give this a go. Expect Op Metro carnage.
- Battlefield V Definitive Edition -80% $9.99 – Not one of the better BF games, but after patches, serviceable. Not sure on the playerbase.
- Battlefield™ 1 Revolution -80% $7.99 – Probably the last great Battlefield game before the franchise’s decline. Insane levolution elements. Nice gunplay and that headshot ping sound!
- Battlefield™ 2042 Elite Edition PS4 & PS5 -90% $9.99 – People love to crap on BF2042, but it is in a better place now. No more seasonal content but still lots of events, patches etc. At that price and with all the updates implemented? Worth a shot for sure. Go ham on Redacted and enjoy it.
- Battlefield™ 6 Phantom Edition -35% $64.99 – The latest Battlefield game. Solid multiplayer and getting a ton of support. If you want to an awesome FPS shooter, pick this up.
- Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition -40% $11.99 – Have not played this, but it has upgraded visuals. You can play this and wonder why everyone is looking forward to the vaporware sequel.
- Blades of Fire -25% $29.99 – From the devs behind Castlevania: Lords of Shadows. Premise is fine, but some might get overwhelmed with the mandatory crafting mechanics.
- Blair Witch Deluxe Edition -80% $6.99 – Bloober Team’s take on the found footage classic. Got a mixed reception, but overall a good atmosphere.
- Blasphemous -75% $6.24 – Fairly difficult metroidvania where you play as “The Penitent” in a dark, gothic world. A certain boss with a scythe gave me a headache because it was so hard to beat.
- Blizzard® Arcade Collection -50% $9.99 – Houses Blackthorne, The Lost Vikings, Lost Vikings® 2, Rock N Roll Racing, RPM Racing.
- Blood Bowl 3 – Deluxe Imperial Nobility -75% $11.24 – Turn-based fantasy sports game that’s still getting support.
- Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon -50% $4.99 – Inti Creates’ spiritual successor to Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. A fantastic retro throwback.
- Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 -65% $5.24 – This sequel has a harder difficulty, and adds local co-op. It features a massive roster of characters, including a mech-piloting corgi.
- Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night -75% $9.99 – Castlevania creator Koji Igarashi’s spiritual successor to Symphony of the Night. Awesome experience. Loads of secrets and just the right amount of challenge.
- Borderlands 3 Next Level Bundle PS4™ & PS5™ -90% $6.99 – Got a few updates when the movie came out. Solid looter shooter that you can play with friends that do not need to rely on seasonal content.
- Borderlands 4 Deluxe Edition -50% $49.99 – Latest Borderlands game. Tech issues aside, this reviewed well.
- Borderlands Legendary Collection -80% $9.99 – Includes Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
- Call of Duty®: Black Ops -50% $19.99 – The first Black Ops game from Treyarch; it’s crazy this is being sold at this price for a version that is essentially 1:1 the original.
- Call of Duty®: Black Ops II -50% $19.99 – Considered by many to feature the best COD MP of all-time.
- Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 – Cross-Gen Bundle -60% $27.99 – Omnimovement not as big as Treyarch claims it to be. Loads of bugs, but gunplay is solid when it works as intended. Heavy with SBMM, so bear that in mind.
- Call of Duty®: Black Ops 7 – Cross-Gen Bundle -50% $34.99 – It’s the annual CoD. The campaign is short, the zombies mode is complicated, and the multiplayer is sweaty. You already know if you want this.
- Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War – Standard Edition -75% $14.99 – Not sure how the player base is, should be enough to find a match fast, but Black Ops 7 is the newer COD game.
- Capcom Fighting Collection -50% $14.99 – Fighting game fans’ dream. - Catherine: Full Body Digital Deluxe Edition -80% $9.99 – A mix of social simulator and platformer that looks and feels like a Persona spin-off, but replaces dungeon crawling with frantic block climbing.
- Chorus -80% $4.99 – Space combat game that was reviewed well when it was released in 2021. Not No Man’s Sky, but more Elite Dangerous?
- Cities: Skylines – Remastered -70% $11.99 – Remaster of the award-winning 2015 city building and management game.
- Classified: France ’44 – Deluxe Edition -80% $7.99 – Turn-based strategy game with a D-Day vibe. Got a lot of good reviews at launch (at least on PC).
- CODE VEIN II -43% $39.89 – Sequel to Bandai’s vampire RPG. This is a Soulslike action-RPG. Don’t think it reviewed as well as its predecessor.
- Contra Anniversary Collection -60% $7.99 – Neat arcade archive featuring Contra, Super Contra, and Alien Wars. Pure 8-bit/16-bit run and gun action.
- Contra: Operation Galuga PS4 & PS5 -50% $19.99 – It’s Contra. Expect non-stop action and special weapons. This was received well and should provide a solid co-op experience. Arcade Mode supports up to 4 players.
- Crash Bandicoot™ – Quadrilogy Bundle -70% $26.99 – The excellent remake of the Crash trilogy + the last main Crash title. Great value bundle.
- Cronos: The New Dawn -45% $38.49 – Bloober’s original IP. It’s like Dead Space in a lot of ways. It’s a solid horror game. It might not offer anything groundbreaking, but what it does is more than good enough. Not as scary as RE, Silent Hill, etc.
- Cyberpunk 2077 -60% $19.99 – CDPR’s ambitious RPG that has now managed to be in a state where expectations are met after numerous updates. DLC is also on sale. Well worth buying now on PS5.
- Danganronpa 1•2 Reload -50% $19.99 – High-school visual novel murder mysteries where eccentric students kill each other and face absurd courtroom trials. Might not be for everyone, but it has great characters and soundtrack.
- DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED -50% $19.99 – FromSoftware’s first Dark Souls game now remastered. Rarely goes on sale
- DARK SOULS™ II: Scholar of the First Sin -50% $19.99 – Remaster of Dark Souls 2 with all the content released.
- DARK SOULS™ III -50% $29.99 – Rarely goes on sale, and the last part of FromSoftware’s Souls trilogy.
- Darksiders III Blades & Whip Edition -80% $15.99 – Fury’s entry that tried to mimic Dark Souls with dodge-heavy combat. Patches fixed some issues, but it remains the most divisive entry in the trilogy.
- Date Everything! – Lavish Edition -66% $11.89 – Sandbox dating sim, and this seems to be more popular than initially expected? The description says “The game revolves around the player character forming relationships with anthropomorphized versions of everyday objects around their house.” So, uh, yeah, definitely off-beat.
- Dead Cells: Medley of Pain Bundle -50% $19.99 – The ultimate roguelite package. It includes the base game and all 4 massive DLCs, featuring the essential Return to Castlevania expansion.
- Dead Rising 2 -75% $4.99 – Sequel to Dead Rising, where you can squash zombies with tons of weapons that you can create by mixing different objects. Many have it in high regard, and it might be the second-best DR game for fans of the franchise.
- Dead Rising 2 Off The Record -75% $4.99 – Alternate take on DR2’s story where you play as good ol Frank West. Maybe I’m too bad at these, but it felt WAY harder to beat than the original game.
- Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package -75% $9.99 – Last chronological entry in the franchise. Had a rushed development and the worst reception of all of the games, but if you are a series completionist, why not give it a try?
- Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster -50% $24.99 – Zombie game where you can use almost any object you come across. Not sure how the remaster plays, but the original was definitely a solid zombie game.
- Dead Space Digital Deluxe Edition -75% $19.99 – One of the best remakes ever. It’s a travesty that we still haven’t gotten confirmation of a remake of Dead Space 2. This improves the original in every way, and I can’t stress enough how awesome this game is. The vibe and atmosphere Motive has made when you walk corridors and see shadows? Yeah, awesome creepy stuff.
- DEATHLOOP -80% $11.99 – One of Arkane’s finest works and implements time travel without being annoying.
- Demon’s Souls Digital Deluxe Edition -50% $44.99 – FromSoftware’s critically acclaimed Souls game before Dark Souls, and remade with better visuals and various improvements.
- Devil May Cry 5 Deluxe + Vergil -75% $9.99 – Includes the base game, the Deluxe Edition content, and playable Virgil.
- Diablo II: Resurrected – Infernal Edition -30% $27.99 – Remaster of Diablo 2, and aside from ladder seasons, support has ended
- Digimon Story Time Stranger Deluxe Edition -40% $59.99 – Latest Digimon game, has received a ton of good reviews. Franchise fans should snatch this up.
- Directive 8020 -20% $39.99 – Latest game released in the Dark Pictures series, starring actress Lashana Lynch. Had a mixed reception for repetitive sequences and other design choices.
- Dishonored® Definitive Edition -75% $4.99 – The game that put Arkane on the map. Gameplay should still hold up.
- Dishonored 2 -80% $5.99 – Sequel to Arkane’s action series that never saw a follow-up. Not sure how it holds up now.
- Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! -33% $10.04 – Game from a certain genre disguised as a chill anime visual novel. It became an Internet phenomenon for a while, so you might know the twist already, but I’m not gonna be the one to spoil it for you.
- DOOM -80% $3.99 – The reignition of the DOOM franchise. Reviewed very, very well and has spawned sequels leading up to The Dark Ages, which was released not too long ago. Perfect price point to try the franchise
- DOOM + DOOM II -60% $3.99 – First two DOOM games with enhanced graphics, improved gameplay and other new features. Still getting patched every now and then.
- DOOM Eternal Deluxe Edition – PS4 & PS5 -67% $16.49 – The sequel to the 2016 DOOM reboot. Reviewed well.
- Dragon Age™: Inquisition Deluxe Edition -75% $4.99 – The last Dragon Age game before Veilguard sank the franchise.
- Dragon Age™: The Veilguard Deluxe Edition -60% $35.99 – Latest Dragon Age game. The reviews were solid, though it might alienate non-franchise fans.
- DRAGON BALL FighterZ – FighterZ Edition PS4 & PS5 -84% $14.39 – Super low price for Arc System Works’ DBZ game. If you ever wanted to play Dragon Ball’s anime as a fighter, this is it. Insane combos.
- DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT -25% $14.99 – Dragon Ball but as an RPG! Still getting occasional support and expansions. If you’re tired of the fighting games based on the franchise, this might be a good title to consider.
- DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO -40% $29.99 – Relatively new Dragon Ball fighting game with an insane number of characters. Latest in the Budokai series. Still getting supported.
- DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined -35% $38.99 – Another well-reviewed remake. For those who want some Final Fantasy-like RPG but a little bit different.
- DREDGE – Digital Deluxe Edition -60% $10.79 – Fishing horror RPG. Lovecraft fans will dig this. It’s a quirky game, but it works.
- Dying Light – Essentials Edition -80% $4.99 – Super successful first game in the Dying Light franchise, with a few DLCs (not all).
- Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Digital Extras Edition PS5 -80% $13.99 – Zombie game from Techland, and getting a ton of support. You can be sure this won’t get abandoned anytime soon, as Techland is known for supporting their games for years.
- Dying Light: The Beast -50% $29.99 – Standalone entry starring Kyle Crane. Reviewed very well, and getting post-release support alongside DL2.
- DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS -30% $48.99 – Latest entry by Omega Force and released in Jan. 2025. Received good reviews. If you’re looking for a new musou game, this is it.
- EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ Deluxe Edition -90% $8.49 – Latest PGA game from HB Studios. Getting seasonal support.
- Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – Digital Deluxe Edition -75% $19.99 – Old-school RPG and a surprise hit. Still getting support. Reviewed quite well. If you need another JRPG fix, this might be it.
- Evil West -75% $14.99 – Vampire-themed third-person action game. It’s not bad, but just expect jank and a lot less polish.
- Exoprimal PS4 & PS5 -84% $9.59 – Capcom’s dino-hunting game that’s not Dino Crisis, and which tanked shortly after release.
- F1® 25: 2026 Season Edition -30% $34.99 – Latest F1 game from Codemasters. Getting monthly updates, and is your only choice for proper F1 sim racing.
- FAR CRY ANTHOLOGY BUNDLE -75% $37.49 – Houses Far Cry 3, FC4, FC5 and FC6.
- FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE -35% $32.49 – Full remake of the PS2 horror classic that dropped recently. It replaces the fixed cameras for a modern over-the-shoulder view, but keeps the terrifying combat by photography vibe.
- FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE -75% $9.99 – The first part of the remake, and is a perfect example to show your kids how this game was the biggest thing back then.
- FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH -70% $14.99 – Second chapter of the Remake trilogy, and reviewed very, very well.
- FINAL FANTASY XV ROYAL EDITION -60% $13.99 – A boyband road trip patched up with all its DLC included. Flashy combat and great party chemistry, but the story is still a mess.
- FOR HONOR – Gold Edition -85% $8.99 – Ubisoft’s take on historical melee action, featuring knights, vikings, and samurai. Close to its ten year anniversary and still getting strong support.
- Forspoken Digital Deluxe Edition -70% $28.49 – Square Enix’s action-adventure flop. Looked good back then. They patched out the quips, I think.
- Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition -60% $23.99 – Former Xbox exclusive racing game. Reviewed well, and if you want another racing game in your life.
- Frostpunk: Console Edition -85% $4.49 – This is a city-building survival game that earned a lot of recognition back then. Have not played it, but heard and saw it quite often way back then.
- Frostpunk 2 -50% $22.49 – Sequel to the city-building game, now with a bigger scale and more complex mechanics.
- Ghostrunner -75% $7.49 – Tremendously fun first-person title within the cyberpunk genre. Played it a while back and it was a great surprise.
- Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection -67% $9.89 – Remake of the 1985 arcade classic, and it’s still as punishing as it used to be.
- Ghostwire: Tokyo -75% $14.99 – Underrated first-person action game by Tango Gameworks. Sad fact: we were close to getting a sequel.
- Gotham Knights: Deluxe -90% $8.99 – Arkham meets Bat Family. No support for this, but it might be worth a play for Batman fans just to see the various combos and moves for each character.
- Gravity Rush™ Remastered -50% $14.99 – This includes all the DLCs and was developed by Bluepoint (RIP). Increased frame rate and enhanced graphics.
- Gravity Rush™ 2 -50% $9.99 – The final open-world gem from the team at Sony Japan Studio, taking everything the original did and cranking it up to eleven. It’s a shame Sony never greenlit the third game we should’ve had years ago.
- Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition -75% $3.74 – Metroidvania platform where you play as a luchador. This received a ton of good reviews back then. If you want an alternative to Silksong’s maddening difficulty.
- Hell is Us – Deluxe Edition -75% $19.99 – Souls-like that’s different. No maps, no quest markers. YT it first to see if it’s something you won’t get annoyed by.
- Hell Let Loose – Ultimate Edition -75% $17.49 – Era shooter that’s getting a ton of support up to this day.
- Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice -30% $20.99 – First game of the series by Ninja Theory before being acquired by MS. Sequel released on PS5 as well.
- Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga -50% $24.99 – Hellblade sequel that was originally an Xbox exclusive. Light on action and a tad short, but gorgeous.
- Heretic + Hexen -33% $10.04 – Remastered version of Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, Hexen: Beyond Heretic and Deathkings of the Dark Citadel from Nightdive. Includes online MP.
- HITMAN World of Assassination Deluxe Edition -55% $44.99 – With much content from other editions, Hitman 2 expansion pack, Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack, Hitman 3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection. Whole lot of bald person killing people.
- Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition -85% $11.99 – This is a fun open-world game based on the Harry Potter universe. You might want to try it if you liked the movies, and there’s a sequel coming out!
- Horizon Zero Dawn™ Remastered -58% $20.99 – Might be the most pointless remaster ever released. Solid game, but remaster? If you haven’t played this yet, this is the version to get.
- Hotline Miami -80% $1.99 – Amazing top-down 2d action game with frenetic violence and people with animal masks. You will be adding at least one song from the soundtrack to your playlist.
- Immortals of Aveum™ -90% $6.99 – EA’s failed magical FPS game. Don’t expect a sequel. The protagonist has that Marvel attitude, which can get tiring.
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Premium Edition -50% $49.99 – MachineGames’ former Xbox exclusive. Insanely fun. Has that Indiana feel and has loads of puzzles and secrets.
- INDIKA -65% $8.74 – A surreal story-driven game where you play as a nun in an alternate 19th-century Russia. Highly recommended if you like atmospheric games.
- Injustice™ 2 – Legendary Edition -90% $5.99 – Last NetherRealm title that isn’t MK. Includes all DLCs, so that means you can beat the shit out of a Ninja Turtle as Hellboy, ain’t that cool?
- Insurgency: Sandstorm – 1-Year Anniversary Edition [PS4 & PS5] -75% $12.49 – Not COD and a different kind of military FPS.
- John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando – Blood Edition -35% $32.49 – Saber Interactive’s co-op horde shooter. While not as big as World War Z, Space Marine 2, this is still getting supported.
- JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R PS4 & PS5 -80% $9.99 – Fighting game from the JoJo’s franchise featuring characters spanning Part 1 to Part 8. A must if you are a fan of the manga, anime adaptation, and/or fighting titles.
- Just Cause 3 -75% $4.99 – Third entry in Avalanche’s over-the-top open world franchise.
- Just Cause 4: Reloaded -85% $5.99 – Last game in the Just Cause series. A fifth game was reportedly cancelled a while back, so don’t expect a new game anytime soon.
- Killing Floor 3 -50% $19.99 – Latest game in the franchise. Got mixed reviews, but Tripwire is fixing it via updates.
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance – Royal Edition -80% $7.99 – Medieval first-person RPG and the first game in the franchise. At that price, it’s well worth it since you’ll be playing this for hours.
- KINGDOM HEARTS All-In-One Package -60% $39.99 – Includes • KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, • KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, KINGDOM HEARTS III!
- L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files -50% $14.99 – VR experience based on Rockstar’s detective game, including a selection of seven cases reworked from the original title for virtual reality.
- Layers of Fear Deluxe Edition -65% $12.24 – One of the less prominent Bloober Team horror franchises. Recommended for fans of psychological horror. A third game is in the works, so you might want to hop into the series before that releases.
- LEFT ALIVE™ DAY ONE EDITION -90% $5.99 – Third-person, stealth action-adventure from Square. I gather this MGS-esque take by Square didn’t sell well since we never heard anything about it?
- Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered – Deluxe Edition -50% $14.99 – Remaster of the finale in the Raziel and Kain saga, with HD visuals and a modern camera. It also includes a few nice little extras, such as a demo for the cancelled LOK game, The Dark Prophecy.
- LEGO® Horizon Adventures™ -50% $19.99 – Mashup between Guerrilla’s Horizon series and LEGO in an action game with a top-down/isometric perspective.
- Life is Strange: Double Exposure Deluxe Edition -60% $23.99 – The penultimate game in the series, which brings Max back as the main character.
- Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -75% $13.74 – A shorter entry in the series that fills in the gaps of what Kiryu was doing during the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
- LIKE A DRAGON Series Starter Pack -50% $39.99 – Includes Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
- Like a Dragon: Ishin! PS4 & PS5 -80% $11.99 – Remaster of a Japanese exclusive spin-off in the series.

- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 – Deluxe Edition -20% $79.99 – Who’d know flying planes to real-world locations would be this fun? If you can’t afford to fly somewhere, this is the next best thing.
- Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™ – Game of the Year Edition -75% $4.99 – Not sure how the gameplay holds up, but this is the game that introduced the Nemesis system. Monolith is gone now, but the games were awesome.
- MindsEye -50% $17.49 – From the producer of GTA. Might be the most controversial game of 2025. Reviewed horribly. Not sure if updates can save it.
- Monster Hunter Rise PS4 & PS5 -80% $7.99 – Originally a Nintendo Switch exclusive, which you might be able to tell by taking a look at the art style. Definitely a more arcade experience than Worlds.

- Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition -75% $9.99 – If you don’t need to play the latest, this should do the trick. Dozens if not hundreds of hours of content. Insanely fun co-op game.

- Nioh – The Complete Edition -60% $19.99 – Team Ninja’s take on the Souls-like, trading a sprawling open world for mission-based levels and a loot system that feels more like Diablo.
- Nioh 2 -50% $19.99 – Second game from Team Ninja’s Souls series that recently got a third chapter.
- Nioh 3 -43% $39.89 – Latest game in the series that evolved the combat system. It got really strong reviews.
- No Man’s Sky PS4 & PS5 -60% $23.99 – Doesn’t go on sale as often as it should. Hello Games’ adventure, world exploring game that managed to climb out of its hype-dug hole after a ton of patches. It’s still getting solid support now with new expeditions every few months.
- OCTOPATH TRAVELER II PS4＆PS5 -60% $23.99 – Reviewed very, very well. Classic JRPG with a ton of memorable characters that you can play in whichever order you prefer.
- OKAMI HD -50% $9.99 – One of Capcom’s classic action-adventure games, play this before the sequel is out.
- Overcooked! + Overcooked! 2 -75% $8.74 – Simple but addictive gameplay, and you can play these with multiple people, though that makes it harder for some reason.
- Pacific Drive: Whispers Edition -60% $17.99 – Survival game where a station wagon is your friend. Still getting supported and received a lot of solid reviews.
- PAYDAY 2: CRIMEWAVE EDITION -80% $3.99 – Unsure about its online, but this got a lot more attention and recognition than Payday 3. Might be worth taking a look.
- Persona 3 Portable & Persona 4 Golden Bundle -50% $19.74 – The original (kinda) experiences of P3 and P4.
- Persona 3 Reload Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -65% $24.49 – A super solid reimagining of Persona 3. Persona 4 Revival is coming relatively soon, so play this first. Last DLC is already out.
- Persona®5 Royal Ultimate Edition -70% $17.99 – The definitive version of the game that redefined the series. It adds a whole extra semester, new characters, and a ton of quality-of-life tweaks to the original. All DLCs present too.
- Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville™ -60% $7.99 – Third-person shooter (happy now?) based on the PvZ franchise. Has local co-op, so it should still be fun.
- Plants vs. Zombies™ Garden Warfare -70% $5.99 – Multiplayer third-person shooter and tower defense game. There was a sequel to this even.
- PRAGMATA -20% $47.99 – One of Capcom’s surprise hits of the year. This took a while to release, but based on reviews, it’s worth it. Expect to play as both Diana and Hugh.
- Prey: Digital Deluxe Edition -80% $7.99 – Some say this is Arkane’s finest work. Unrelated to the first Prey.
- Quake -60% $3.99 – Nightdive’s remaster of the shooter legend. Includes modern controls, widescreen support, enhanced lighting, and Trent Reznor’s iconic soundtrack.
- Quake II -60% $3.99 – This remaster adds crossplay multiplayer, improved enemy AI, restored content, and a brand-new expansion campaign.
- RAGE 2: Deluxe Edition -80% $11.99 – One of the franchises now set aside by id Software and Bethesda. This sequel got a mixed reception, and honestly, the only thing I remember from this game is that it was leaked by Walmart before an E3 reveal.
- Ravenswatch: Deluxe Edition -65% $13.99 – Roguelike action game that reviewed quite well.
- Ready or Not: Digital Deluxe Edition -25% $52.49 – Super controversial shooter that’s surprisingly good. Getting lots of support.
- REANIMAL -20% $31.99 – The latest from the original creators of Little Nightmares, which works as a spiritual successor that doubles down on the grotesque. It has a local and online co-op if you are interested.
- Red Dead Redemption (PS4 & PS5) & Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4) Bundle -60% $39.99 – Bundle with the complete story of Rockstar’s Red Dead series. Both absolute masterpieces.
- REMATCH – ELITE EDITION -50% $24.99 – Sloclap’s online arcade soccer game. Gameplay is solid, but thin in content.
- Remnant: From the Ashes -75% $9.99 – Called by some as the Dark Souls with guns. Co-op third-person shooter with procedurally re-rolled campaign maps and brutal boss encounters.
- Remnant II® – Standard Edition -70% $14.99 – Fantastic action game that has some insane challengs and puzzles. Reviewed well, and even its expansions were solid.
- Resident Evil -75% $4.99 – The first remake. If you haven’t played this yet, what are you waiting for? The master of unlocking to hand it to you?
- Resident Evil 0 -75% $4.99 – Prequel to RE1 starring Rebecca Chambers. Has some really annoying gameplay design choices, but if classic RE titles are your sauce, give this a try.
- Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition & Village Gold Edition PS4 & PS5 -67% $19.79 – The Ethan Winters saga. Great value for two top-tier horror games.
- Resident Evil Remake Trilogy -58% $29.39 – Featuring the remakes of RE2, RE3, RE4, and all additional content.
- Resident Evil Requiem -30% $48.99 – Latest RE hit that brings Leon Kennedy back to action, as well as the new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. Crazy good mix of action and horror sections that proves Capcom doesn’t need to rely on remakes to make good titles.
- Resident Evil™ Code: Veronica X -60% $5.99 – Critically acclaimed RE originally released for the Dreamcast. Of course, it has the clunkiness of its time, as well as a poor aged line, but it also offers some of the best resi experiences older titles can give.
- Rise of the Ronin™ Digital Deluxe Edition -34% $52.79 – Team Ninja’s open-world action-RPG. This is not a traditional Souls-like game for anyone wondering.
- River City Girls 1, 2, and Zero + Double Dragon DLC Bundle -50% $37.49 – A bundle with the anime-style beat ’em ups from the River City franchise. Includes the modern classics RCG 1 and 2, the retro origin Zero, and the essential Double Dragon DLC.
- RoboCop: Rogue City – Alex Murphy Edition -80% $8.99 – Better than expected. Brings familiar RoboCop visuals and violence. I’m actually surprised this turned out as well as it did.
- Rust Console Edition: Deluxe (PlayStation®5) -30% $41.99 – Recommended for survival fans who are looking for a hard experience. The devs have been working on improving the performance.
- Saints Row IV Re-Elected -85% $2.99 – The last proper Saints Row released, and the only one we will have for a long time. That is, assuming Embracer decides to give the IP another try after the horrid reboot.
- Saints Row: The Third Remastered -85% $4.49 – Remaster of the third game that features big improvements to the graphics.
- SAND LAND PS4 & PS5 -50% $29.99 – Action RPG based on one of the lesser-known works of Akira Toriyama, father of Dragon Ball.
- Scott Pilgrim vs. The World™: The Game – Complete Edition -67% $4.94 – Ubisoft’s 16-bit arcade beat ’em up based on Scott Pilgrim, with the artstyle from the comics. The combat can feel grindy solo, but local co-op makes it a blast.
- Sea of Thieves -65% $13.99 – Rare’s former Xbox exclusive. Pirate game that has a healthy player base, and gets live service support.
- SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS -50% $9.99 – Remake of one of the best games of all-time. It’s a boss rush mode, but it’s way deeper than that.
- Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse -50% $9.99 – Considered by many Shantae fans to be the best one in the series.
- Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition -50% $14.99 – First HD Shantae game that originally started being funded through a Kickstarter. Tremendously fun and recommendable metroidvania.
- Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Digital Deluxe Edition -70% $20.99 – Last entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series. Praised more for its gameplay than its story.
- SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -50% $19.99 – A stunning, hand-drawn return for the legendary SEGA franchise.
- Sid Meier’s Civilization® VII Deluxe Edition -50% $49.99 – The latest Civ game that received mostly positive reviews.
- SILENT HILL 2 -60% $27.99 – It’s right up there with the Resident Evil remakes as some of the best remakes we’ve seen. Packed with new Easter eggs, new combat sections and just an amazing experience. Should have been a contender for GOTY or at least won a few awards.
- SILENT HILL f -50% $34.99 – The new mainline entry set in 1960s Japan. Very floral, very disturbing body horror.
- SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS -50% $9.99 – SNK’s take on Street Fighter, and this was insane to see back then. I’m sure gameplay still holds up.
- Sonic Frontiers Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -65% $17.49 – Integrates traditional Sonic elements into an open world. Did it work? Depends on whom you ask.
- SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -65% $20.99 – Huge hit for SEGA.
- SOULCALIBUR VI Deluxe Edition -84% $14.39 – Haven’t played this one, but I know that it has as fighters Geralt de Rivia and 2B, as well as a highly customizable character creator where you can recreate any character you can think of. You will want to try this if you dig fighting games.
- South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ -75% $7.49 – Basically like playing a full-length, uncensored episode of the show. Obsidian handled the development, so underneath all the crude humor, it’s still a competent turn-based RPG.
- Star Wars Outlaws Deluxe Edition -75% $22.49 – Ubisoft’s Star Wars open world game. It has received countless updates that should have made this way better than its state at launch. Just don’t expect epic boss fights and the like, since it’s not that type of game.
- STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II -75% $4.99 – Heard someone said that the player base is still healthy. If so, then this is a good multiplayer game to buy. Underrated visuals and sound work from DICE. It got a lot of flak for the MTX stuff, but it is a solid Star Wars experience.
- Starfield Premium Edition -20% $55.99 – Bethesda’s epic sci-fi RPG that was a former Xbox exclusive. Two DLCs have been released, and continued support is planned. Some tech issues plagued the PS5 version at launch, but patches are still being released to fix these.
- Stellar Blade™ Complete Edition -45% $49.49 – Shift Up’s action game that sold a ton. Don’t get if you don’t like sexy.
- STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -60% $23.99 – A B-movie reimagining of the first Final Fantasy and a love letter to the series’ history. Developed by Ninja Theory.
- Street Fighter™ 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition -35% $38.99 – Latest Street Fighter game. Has a dedicated player base, though a bit harder to get into than Tekken, given that said player base will kick your ass over and over until you learn the important mechanics.
- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – Digital Deluxe Edition -90% $9.99 – Rocksteady’s failed live service game. There’s an offline mode available for it, so it should be playable even after servers have been pulled.
- Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars PS4 & PS5 -50% $24.99 – One of the best RPGs from the PS1 era. You collect a ton of party members and it’s more fun than it sounds.
- Super Meat Boy -90% $1.49 – A now-classic platformer that started as a flash game and helped spark the indie revolution. It’s a game about patience and precision so you better have it.
- Super Meat Boy 3D -20% $19.99 – Fairly recent release that takes the brutally hard platforming of the original game and translates that same experience into 3D environments.
- Tales from the Borderlands -25% $14.99 – Not your typical Borderlands game. This is a graphic adventure game that relies on humor and story rather than enticing you with endless gun combinations and co-op action.
- TEKKEN 8 Advanced Edition -45% $27.49 – This might underwhelm fight fans compared to Tekken 7, but it’s still a solid fighter. Loads of support but characters locked behind a paywall.
- Tetris® Effect: Connected -50% $19.99 – Tetris + beautiful visuals + emotional songs. It’s enough to make any sensitive person cry… not that I would know from personal experience, of course.
- The Alters -50% $17.49 – Survival game released last year. This is as off-beat as they come when it comes to the genre. Received universal acclaim.
- The Crew Motorfest Deluxe Edition -80% $15.99 – Ubisoft’s online-only racing game and the latest entry in the franchise. Not sure how big the player base is today, but this does get seasonal updates from Ivory Tower.
- The Disney Afternoon Collection -75% $4.99 – Six classic Disney games: DuckTales, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales 2, and Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2.
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered – Deluxe Edition -30% $41.99 – More of a remake than a remaster, this adds not just visual upgrades but even gameplay features.
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Standard Edition -75% $4.99 – The Elder Scrolls MMO that has been going on for years now. Still getting a ton of support with paid expansions and free updates.
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition + Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Bundle -40% $53.99 – Bethesda’s ultimate re-release combo with all DLC included. Hundreds of hours of iconic open world RPG gameplay + classic engine bugs.
- The Evil Within -75% $4.99 – This is Mikami’s first horror game after leaving Capcom. Way harder than Resident Evil.
- The First Berserker: Khazan Deluxe Edition -40% $41.99 – Surprisingly sold well. Souls-like that’s gotten a ton of support from Korean devs.
- The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles -60% $15.99 – You know the drill! Ace Attorney is your cup of tea, or it isn’t.
- The Heavy Rain™ & BEYOND: Two Souls™ Collection -60% $15.99 – Two of Quantic Dream’s narrative-focused classics in one package.
- The Last Guardian -50% $9.99 – Team ICO’s last full game 🙁
- The Medium Deluxe Edition -75% $13.74 – Another game by Bloober. Mixed reception on this one given the premise.
- The Outer Worlds 2 -40% $41.99 – Obsidian’s RPG sequel. If you dug the first one, then go pick this up.
- The Sinking City Remastered -85% $7.49 – Open-world detective adventure and psychological horror game; the remastered version features improved frame rates, updated 4K textures, refined third-person combat controls, and adds ray tracing.
- The Talos Principle Dyad Bundle -67% $19.79 – Philosophical first-person puzzles where you play as an android in a world of ancient ruins and futuristic technology.
- The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series -75% $12.49 – The complete collection of the series that put Telltale on the map. It features incredibly emotional storytelling, and while the later seasons are good, Season 1 remains the absolute peak of the franchise. A must-play for any fan of narrative-driven games.
- Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow + Metro Awakening Bundle -40% $23.99 – Solid VR titles from the Metro and Thief franchises to take advantage of the PSVR2.
- Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Next-Level Edition -60% $11.99 – Spinoff entry in the Borderlands franchise, this is another looter-shooter. It’s Borderlands set within the world of a tabletop Dungeons & Dragons-style game.
- Titanfall® 2 Standard Edition -75% $4.99 – One of the best FPS games of all-time. Insanely good single-player, and multiplayer should still be active but full of sweats that will literally step on you using their mechs.
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands -80% $9.99 – Recently got the Last Rites story DLC for free as part of Ubisoft’s effort to revive the franchise. Online community might still be around, but at the very least, you get a third-person cover shooter on the cheap. Just don’t expect the online community to be big since this game is old.
- Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy -80% $9.99 – Underrated trilogy. At this price, it’s a steal given the quality of each entry. Loads of combat, exploration, and puzzles.
- Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 – 4 – Deluxe Edition Bundle -50% $49.99 – Includes the remakes of 1+2 and the fairly recent 3+4 remasters. Skateboarding perfection.
- Trek to Yomi -75% $4.99 – Black and white, cinematic, side-scrolling action-adventure game that surprised a lot of people when it was released. Check YT if it’s something you’d be interested in.
- Undertale -34% $9.89 – Indie RPG that uses a top-down perspective. I suggest YouTubing this before considering it. This won a ton of awards when it was released. Personally have not played this, but including for reference.
- Unicorn Overlord Monarch Edition PS4 & PS5 -70% $20.99 – Tactical RPG by Vanillaware. Reviewed very well, though might not be for everyone. Don’t let the gorgeous art fool you. I suggest checking out gameplay clips first.
- Unknown 9: Awakening Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -50% $12.49 – Bandai Namco’s action game that failed to turn heads when it was released. Not sure how it plays, but worth noting it’s on sale.
- Vampire Survivors -20% $3.99 – Definitely worth the dough. Super addictive and simple. It’s insane how much fun this is. Don’t let the graphics fool you on how amazing it can be. There’s a reason why this is a super big hit.
- Vampire: The Masquerade® – Bloodlines™ 2 – Deluxe Edition -50% $34.99 – Single-player, first-person action-RPG set in the Vampire universe. Didn’t exactly set the world on fire when it was released, but some found it competent enough. YMMV.
- Watch Dogs 1 + Watch Dogs 2 Standard Editions Bundle -80% $11.99 – First two games of Ubisoft’s GTA with hackers.
- WILD HEARTS™ Karakuri Edition -90% $8.99 – EA’s attempt at making their own Monster Hunter, but that ended up going under the radar of many people.
- Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (PS4 & PS5) -50% $19.99 – Historical fantasy action-RPG by Team Ninja. Support has ended, but it’s a competent Souls game.
- Wolfenstein: Alt History Collection -80% $11.99 – Includes the entirety of Wolfenstein’s latest story: The New Order, The Old Blood, The New Colossus, and the co-op spin-off Youngblood. All stellar games by MachineGames.
- Worms Rumble PS4 & PS5 -80% $2.99 – The first real-time entry in the Worms franchise.
- WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers Deluxe Edition -30% $41.99 – Action RPG set in imperial China. Very atmospheric.
- Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties PS4 & PS5 -50% $29.99 – Most recent big release from RGG Studio. An overhauled version of the original Yakuza 3 made in Dragon Engine, with the inclusion of the Dark Ties expansion.
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon Legendary Hero Edition PS4 & PS5 -60% $11.99 – It’s the base game along with all major gameplay DLC add-on packs.
- Zombie Army 4: Dead War -90% $4.99 – Third-person shooter where you kill Nazi zombies, made by Rebellion and derived from the Sniper Elite series. It has a dedicated (but small) player base.
After this, the next main sale to look forward to is the Halloween sale kicking off sometime next month. Horror fans should keep an eye out for it.
