GTA 6 Unlock Times Revealed; New Zealand Players Get a 19-Hour Head Start
Rockstar has revealed the worldwide unlock times for Grand Theft Auto 6, showing exactly when players across different regions will be able to start playing the game when it launches in November.
With the release date getting closer, Rockstar continues to reveal new details about the game. And considering just how huge GTA 6 is expected to be, there is still plenty left to discover.
Now, the PS Store has revealed the exact times GTA 6 will become available around the world, giving players a clear idea of when they can finally jump in.
Here’s When You Can Start Playing GTA 6 in November
Mark it on your calendar. GTA 6 is set to launch on November 19, with the game unlocking at midnight in each region. However, because of time zone differences, players in some parts of the world, including New Zealand, will get access earlier than others.
Here are the release times for each country and region:
- New Zealand (NZDT) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- Australia (AEDT) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- Japan and South Korea (JST/KST) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan (UTC+8) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- Indonesia and Thailand (UTC+7) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- India (IST) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- United Arab Emirates (GST) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- Saudi Arabia and Turkey (UTC+3) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- Bulgaria, Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Israel, Romania, South Africa and Ukraine (UTC+2) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland (CET) – November 18 at 12:00 AM.
- Iceland, Ireland, Portugal and the United Kingdom (GMT) – November 19 at 12:00 AM.
- Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay (UTC−3) – November 19 at 12:00 AM.
- Bolivia (BOT) – November 19 at 12:00 AM.
- Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and the United States (UTC−5) – November 19 at 12:00 AM.
- Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua (CST) – November 19 at 12:00 AM.
These different unlock times also give some players a way to start the game much earlier. Xbox Series X|S players can easily switch their console location settings to New Zealand, allowing them to play GTA 6 up to 19 hours early.
However, the same method does not work as easily for PlayStation 5 players. PSN Store purchases and codes are permanently tied to the country where the account was created, so PS5 users cannot simply change their console region to New Zealand to unlock the game early.
In related GTA 6 news, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked about the game’s $80 price tag, saying that calling it an “incredible bargain” is a “gross understatement.” In addition, GTA 6 features Rockstar’s “most detailed and varied character population” yet.
