Madden NFL 27 Update 1.007 Tweaks Salary-Cap Management on September 30
The latest title update for Madden NFL 27 is here on the last day of September, and it brings some community-related issues at the forefront of fixes.
Console gamers will see the September 30 patch as Madden NFL 27 update 1.007, and this brings salary cap adjustments, as well as a few key gameplay-related improvements.
While this is a minor update, it’s one that I am sure the community will be happy to see released. Note that while today’s patch adjusts the salary cap management issues players have seen since launch, this doesn’t fix it outright.
Madden NFL 27 Salary Cap Adjustments Now Live via Version 1.007 | 1.007.000
Here are the patch notes per EA:
DYNAMIC SALARY CAP:
- Addressed issues affecting Dynamic Salary Cap in Franchise.
- The league salary cap is designed to grow as the years progress, alongside changes to player salaries and contracts.
CPU ROSTER MANAGEMENT
- Improved CPU signing and re-signing decisions. Teams now account for a player’s fair market value when checking available cap room, and their spending limits vary by contention phase.
- Those limits also apply to free-agent pickups during the season.
- CPU teams should no longer make trades that create cap penalties above a set percentage of the league salary cap.
GAMEPLAY
- Addressed a Field Goal Blocking issue involving looping defenders.
- Tuned Wide Receiver Catch Success Rates to improve consistency on throw out of sack situations.
- Improved Run Action Block Targeting to detect threats more effectively.
- Fixed an issue where the game clock would run off following a delay of game with stopped game clock.
PRESENTATION
- Added Captain Patches to Commanders Uniforms.
Per the developers, additional fixes should appear in future updates, as they continue to monitor Salary Cap management and CPU roster decisions as they affect Franchise league progress, so stay tuned.
