Report: Ready or Not Dedicated Story Mode Seems to Be in the Works as VOID Interactive Trademarks “Warrants”
While Ready or Not does have a story (technically speaking), it’s not your usual narrative-driven campaign we see in similar shooters such as Call of Duty.
In Ready or Not, the story/campaign is presented more as a series of connected SWAT operations rather than a traditional narrative-heavy experience. While the game itself has managed to attract a ton of fans, it’s hard to deny that the story part of the first-person shooter could be a lot better.
It seems the developers at VOID Interactive have heard the community, as the studio seems to be developing a story-driven experience for the game.
VOID Interactive Developing “Warrants”
VOID Interactive’s filing of the “Warrants’ trademark has a date of receipt of September 28, 2026 from the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Aside from that, there’s not much else to go on, so this could either be a standalone expansion, DLC for the existing Ready or Not game, or a full-on sequel (which we highly doubt).
About a year ago, VOID Interactive released Ready or Not’s Los Suenos Stories patch that introduced over 200 fixes to the shooter. Four weeks ago, the developers released the Mission Editor update that brought the game to version 1.5.
Since then, the developers haven’t said anything about any expansions or whatnot for the game. That said, given the trademark filing, perhaps an announcement is due before the year is out? Maybe at The Game Awards, which is the perfect venue for stuff like these to be revealed.
For now, treat this filing as a “what could be” instead of something that’s officially been announced, but we’re keeping a close eye on it and will report on any other findings we spot.
In other shooter news, we ran a feature recently where we weigh how Activison is now handling the Halo franchise could be a good thing for the brand.
