Modern Warfare 4 First Update 1.110 Released on October 19
While the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 isn’t available to be played just yet, the single-player part is out as part of the game’s early access phase.
Today, Infinity Ward has released Modern Warfare 4 update 1.110 | 1.110.000, which is the game’s first patch. Given how the Call of Duty launcher works, some players might also see this as Black Ops 7 & Warzone update 1.110.
Given the game isn’t even officially out yet, don’t expect a lot from this title update.
Modern Warfare 4’s First Update Is for the Single-Player Portion
Clocking in at just 700 MB (on PS5), Infinity Ward says this regarding today’s patch: ”
We’ve just released a minor update to correct some issues in the credits.”
While vague, this patch should prevent people from going into places where the developers didn’t intend them to be.
Unfortunately, today’s update has also caused issues, as some players have reported that after applying the patch, they haven’t been able to load the campaign and get stuck in the “Opening Menu” portion of the title screen. So far, Infinity Ward hasn’t acknowledged this yet, though don’t be surprised to see another patch drop.
Speaking of credits, over the weekend, we reported how Infinity Ward recognized the former studio members who passed away, and that includes studio co-founder Vince Zampella, who died earlier this year due to a car crash. Zampella is also credited with co-creating the Call of Duty franchise.
This is the start of the updates hitting Modern Warfare 4, as once the multiplayer is live later this week, expect Infinity Ward to release a lot more of these down the road, and we’re hoping it won’t be gargantuan files like before.
