Battlefield 6 Third-Person Experience Might Be Something You Didn’t Know You Wanted
While Battlefield 6 is a purely first-person shooter affair, have you ever wondered how the game would play out if it were in third-person?
You don’t have to wonder anymore, as this is available to try now in Battlefield 6!
Thanks to dedicated members of the community, players can experience the game in a different way. Is it better? Check the footage out and see for yourself.
Battlefield 6 Third-Person Available in Portal
Thanks to the work of ViperStudiosAndy and TabbedScamper, the duo recreated Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Capital Supremacy mode in Battlefield 6’s Portal.
Curious? Check how it plays out in the footage below, showcasing raw gameplay courtesy of the experience makers themselves.
The Capital Supremacy experience in BF Portal can be played using code “11BQ6.”
This mode proved to be so popular that the two decided to release a standalone third-person script for Battlefield 6! You can check out the full tutorial if you’re interested in doing something more with it.
Not sure if it’s just me, but the footage reminds me a lot of Ubisoft’s The Division 2 looter shooter.
Will we see DICE dabble on something like this in the future? Maybe if enough people clamored for it? What we do know is that the studio is collaborating with Respawn Entertainment (Apex Legends, Titanfall), and rumors say it’s for Star Wars Battlefront 3, which means we should be getting another third-person multiplayer experience from the studio in the next few years.
In other Battlefield 6 news, the Casino Heist phase 2 update is due for release next week, with the server browser feature arriving soon later.
