Battlefield 6 Casino Heist Begins November 10; Expect a New Map, Weapons and More
The next phase of Season 5 for Battlefield 6 is kicking off next week with Casino Heist! Players will be treated to a new night map, new weapons and more as part of the season’s second phase.
Battlefield 6 players will be able to take part in the wheeling and dealing on November 10, though expect the download to be available a day early at the very least.
Alongside the new map and weapons, DICE has also outlined some of the changes inbound, and this might shake up the weapon meta.
Battlefield 6 Casino Heist Update Deals Out on November 10
Overview
- New Map: European Casino, an infantry-only map set on the Las Vegas Strip
- Limited-Time Event: The Casino Heist event allows you to earn currency to unlock rewards
- New Hardware: The NSW4 Carbine, the Signal Jammer, and a new MRAS truck
- Systems & Quality of Life: Weapon adjustments, Multiplayer Leaderboards, Proximity Chat in Rapid Royale, and Battle Royale mission clarity
New Map Intel – European Casino
Our newest map in Battlefield 6 drops your squad into a nighttime, infantry-only combat zone set inside a large, European-style resort. Engagements move quickly from open courtyards into packed gaming floors and narrow hallways where destruction plays a central role.
Blow through breakable walls to carve out flank paths or just play in the lazy river. But watch your head, because the massive center tower can come crashing down to permanently change the flow of the map.
Players who love the tight, back-and-forth infantry combat of maps like Operation Metro will find a similar flow here, updated with the modern tactical destruction of Battlefield 6.
Casino Heist Event
Along with the start of Casino Heist, the limited-time event goes live across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. Defeated enemies will drop Contracts that give you additional objectives to complete during your matches, from capturing points and reviving teammates to exploring the European Casino map.*
Completing Contracts rewards you with DOUGH, the event’s currency, which you can exchange for a collection of cosmetics including weapon packages, vehicles skins, and an all-new Heist Mask soldier skins. Claiming every standard item on the reward track will also unlock one final challenge for a bonus completion reward. Keep an eye out for our dedicated Event Guide for the full breakdown.
New Weapon and Gadgets Intel
For close-quarters engagement, the NSW4 Carbine offers rapid handling and comes equipped with subsonic rounds by default, alongside a unique Supersonic ammo option. To support your squad defensively, the deployable ADS-17 6GHz (Signal Jammer) gadget jams enemy radars and drastically reduces the range at which opposing players can share active spotting information. Out on the streets, players can ride the M142 MRAS, a highly mobile truck that provides devastating indirect fire on a fast, flexible platform.
Weapon Changes Inbound With Casino Heist Update
- Extended Magazines Adjustments: High-capacity extended magazines on the SCW-10 and KV9 are receiving handling penalties. Equipping extended magazines should involve a clear trade-off between sustained firing capacity and immediate weapon agility.
- More Magazine Options: Additional magazine capacities and feeding options are being introduced across multiple weapon types to give players more flexibility in pacing engagements. These include some LMGs, Shotguns, and more.
- Underutilized Attachment Buffs: We are planning buffs to several historically overlooked muzzle and magazine attachments, including the Flared Magwell, Frangible Ammo, and more, giving you more viable, competitive options in the gunsmith.
- M44 Attachments: For those who like a side of flair with their sidearms, we are testing some highly requested, custom optic attachments for the M44. Because sometimes, you just want to put an 8x scope on a hand-cannon for the memes.
Multiplayer Leaderboards
With Phase 2, we are introducing a dedicated Multiplayer Leaderboard system to give you a clear look at your standing across the community. You will be able to browse leaderboards across dedicated tabs for Career, Game Modes, and Classes.
The Leaderboards are seasonal, and we have included a dedicated Seasonal Filter so you can easily compare your standings from Season 5 onward. To make navigating your stats simpler, we have also built a Sticky Player Row. This ensures that you can always see your exact overall standing across any category or season, even if you are still working your way up toward the top ranks.
Updates in REDSEC
Season 5 introduced our fastest and most aggressive Battle Royale experience yet with the launch of Rapid Royale. Built on a quicker, more close-quarters pacing, this mode has been a major focus for our team as we review gameplay data and player feedback from the first weeks of its launch.
We will be adding proximity chat into Rapid Royale for this upcoming patch. Let us know how you feel about this feature once it is released and we’ll continue to monitor for any improvements as we continue to expand its use across the game.
We are also updating the in-game HUD and objective text to make tracking your active Battle Royale contracts and missions much simpler during chaotic firefights. This update includes clearer timers, better indicators, and more obvious notifications for objectives. We will share more details in our Update Notes prior to the update.
Portal Update
-
Custom Portal Bot Skins: Builders can now individually select the six existing class-specific skins instead of having them randomly assigned when using
SpawnAIFromAISpawner. -
New Marked Soldier Skin: Added as a seventh option, featuring the bloody and scarred soldier originally introduced in the Halloween experience.
-
NecromorphEffects: Allows any soldier to be transformed into a Necromorph, without restrictions on Bots or teams.
-
ShadowSilhouette: Turns soldiers completely black and can be combined with NecromorphEffects or used independently.
-
New Audio Effects: Adds whispers, monster noises, ambient drones, fake footsteps, and gunfire that only affected players can hear.
-
10 New Screen Effects: Color Correction, Depth of Field, Film Grain, Filmic Effects, Fog, Motion Blur, Tone Mapping, Vignette, White Balance, and Unitology Markers.
-
SetScreenEffectParameter Action: Introduces 121 parameters for fine-tuning Screen Effects and controlling individual visual settings.
-
Performance Considerations: Frequently changing multiple Screen Effect parameters may impact performance, so creators are encouraged to test using available performance tools.
Here’s to hoping DICE has learned their lesson and won’t pull any stunt like the capped daily XP or anything of the sort.
