Another PUBG Xbox update has already been pumped out to the Xbox One and Xbox One X versions of the game. The developers say that the “second patch is focused on quality of life fixes (weapon recoil for example) as well as trying to resolve some of the stability issues that have been brought to [their] attention.”
Here’s the full list of patch notes:
Optimization
Continued performance optimizations
In-game
The tuning range for the general sensitivity option has been expanded
Weapon recoil reduced across the board (Xbox Only)
Team UI will now correctly display voice chat status
Additional Localization updates
Bug
A variety of crash fixes
Fixed an issue where casting bar UI remains onscreen when spectating a target who died while using an item from their inventory
Something to bear in mind, is that this patch may not install automatically. Over on Reddit, user ethxnp has presented a workaround for those who can’t seem to install the update:
This is very important. If you are finding that the update did nothing, it may have not actually installed!!!
Look next to your map in game and if you don’t see an outline of your weapons to the left of the map it may not have installed the update.
To fix this, delete and reinstall the game and you will find that the update will have been installed!
Since then I have found that the game runs much smoother and has less crashes.
This is very important as all of my friends have found that it hadn’t installed for us and we did this and it was a lot better after!
Are you playing PUBG on Xbox One? If so, how has the experience been so far? Let us know.
In other PUBG news, the Xbox One “Game Preview” version entered the UK sales charts at #4, Minkonet is providing the tech behind the new 3D replay and killcam features, and a map selection option is coming to the game at some point after launch.
