Capcom to Release Unannounced Game By March 2024, Expected to “Sell Millions”

Capcom unannounced title

With Resident Evil 4, Street Fighter 6, and Exoprimal all released in 2024 to commercial success, Capcom’s had a pretty good year in terms of sales, but it looks like the Japanese game publisher and developer has even more in store for players early next year.

In a quarterly earnings call, Capcom revealed that the company is planning on releasing an unannounced game by the end of the fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2024, according to Bloomberg. The unannounced game is expected to “sell millions.” Given that RE4, SF6, and Exoprimal have all reached major sales and player milestones early on after their respective releases, it’s not too surprising that Capcom could do it again, though one has to wonder what sort of game the company has in store for players by the end of March next year.

There are quite a few speculations as to what’s planned for release next year, though one prediction seems to be the next Monster Hunter game. A popular franchise for Capcom, the series released its most recent entry, Monster Hunter: Rise, in 2021, with the game before that being the 2018 title Monster Hunter: World. As it will have been three years since the release of MH: Rise by 2024, the release of a new MonHun game isn’t out of the question, and it’s certainly a game with the potential of raking in millions of sales.

Whatever Capcom’s cooking right now, with how confident they seem to be with sales, it might be a game that many players will look forward to when eventually announced.

It could possibly be the sequel for Monster Hunter World, but personally i found that Monster Hunter Rise is more enjoyable and has smoother gameplay.
