hogwarts legacy cache in the castle third landmark

One of the hardest types of side quests in Hogwarts Legacy comes in the form of maps that require you to find a specific location within the game. Sometimes these aren’t as obvious as they seem, but lucky for you, we’re here to help! For this guide, we’ll be looking at the Hogwarts Legacy Cache in the Castle side quest, revealing to you exactly where to find the third landmark.

Hogwarts Legacy: Cache in the Castle – Where to Find the Third Landmark

Early in the game, you can pick up a questline from Arthur Plummly, a Hogwarts student located in Astronomy Tower. He’ll give you a side quest called “cache in the castle,” asking you to find a hidden chest based on the treasure map he gives you.

Chances are you’ve been to both the location with the skeleton and dragon statue, but the closest fast travel point is the Defence Against the Dark Arts Classroom under the Floo Flames locations. Fast travel here; head down the stairs, and you will come across the skeleton of a creature.

Take the stairs on the left, and head down the the first floor. There will be a door in front of you that leads into the courtyard. Here you’ll the statue of the dragon.

Run past the statue towards the building, you’ll find a door you can enter. If you look straight ahead, you should see another dragon statue with stairs to the right of it. Head up the stairs, and you should past another one of the skeletons from earlier with a painting on the wall next to it.

You can cast Accio on the top portion of the picture frame, revealing a secret room behind it.

Open the chest, collect the reward, and report back to Arthur to complete the Cache in the Castle quest.

That’s how to Find the Third Landmark! Hopefully this guide has helped you out, and if it has, then you may want to take a look at out other Hogwarts Legacy guides
