Remedy Entertainment has just confirmed today that horror game Alan Wake 2 will have a Performance mode on the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
This was announced today by Thomas Puha, Communications Director at Remedy Entertainment, where it was also shared that Alan Wake 2 has been built from the beginning as a 30fps experience.
I’m glad to say that Alan Wake 2 will have a Performance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The game has been built from the beginning as a 30fps experience focusing on visuals and ambiance, but somehow we have managed to include a solid Performance mode. We’ll talk details later.

If you’re wondering whether this means an unlocked 60fps target or a true 60fps lock for most of the game, Puha mentioned that they are “still tweaking that.”
This is great.
When you say performance, do you mean unlocked with a 60fps target or a true 60fps lock majority of the time?
