Baldur’s Gate 3 Official Launch Date Finally Revealed; Collector’s Edition Contents Shown Off

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in Early Access for quite a while, and while we just got an announcement for Patch 9 yesterday, Larian Studios just dropped a new trailer that included Baldur’s Gate 3 official launch date. 

Larian Studios also announced the Collector’s Edition for Baldur’s Gate 3, featuring a battle diorama, art book, stickers, and more. There are only 25,000 available units of the Collector’s Edition, so you may want to grab one while supplies last. There’s even a small bonus for the first 15,000 orders:

Each Collector’s Edition contains a digital copy of the game, a custom sticker sheet, a 25cm Mind Flayer vs. Drow battle diorama, a 160-page hardcover art book, a cloth map of Faerûn, a set of D&D-inspired origin character sheets, a metal tadpole keyring, a Magic: The Gathering booster pack (limited to the first 15k orders), a custom-engraved metal d20 based on the dice from Baldur’s Gate 3, and a certificate of authenticity, all within a mind-flayer-inspired collector’s box.

The year’s not over for Baldur’s Gate 3, however, as Larian Studios is hosting a panel on December 14:

But while launch is in August, there’s plenty more to unwrap before the year is out. Larian has announced the date for its festive Panel From Hell: Holy Knight, in which special guest Geoff Keighley will join Swen Vincke and the Larian team to delve deeper into their Game Awards announcements and detail the contents of Patch 9 for Baldur’s Gate 3. Patch 9 includes multiple highly anticipated additions to the early access game, including a new playable class.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is slated for an August 2023 official launch on PC.
