Larian Studios recently announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 9 is coming. The studio made the pre-patch announcement as a way for players to prepare for the update, as saves from Patch 8 and before won’t be compatible with Patch 9.
Patch 9 is coming! As ever, this update will make save games for previous versions of BG3 incompatible, so if you'd like to continue your Patch 8 adventures, a beta branch is now available!

The pre-patch announcement didn’t include a release date for Patch 9, but we may get more information in the upcoming panel.
