Battlefield 6 Gold Dog Tags Are Back, Hunting Season for Devs Starts Now
For Battlefield veterans, collecting dog tags in the game is nothing new, and this has returned in Battlefield 6. Another thing returning? Gold dog tags, which players can only obtain from DICE/Battlefield Studios developers.
Battlefield 6 players can now start hunting for gold dog tags, as one developer has pointed out. This is done by doing a melee takedown, which has been how it’s always been since Battlefield 3.

Luca Ballore, who’s a software engineer for the Battlefield franchise, has shared their dog tag online, complete with a DICE marking on it. This has been the case with past Battlefield game as well, and it oftentimes was a surprise to see since that meant you performed a melee takedown on a Battlefield developer.
In some cases, there are even events focused on it where players try their best to get the devs’ dog tags just for bragging rights. You can see the dog tags you’ve collected in the game, which is a good reminder of whom you’ve taken down with your knife (or in the case of BF6, your sledgehammer).
In other Battlefield 6 news, DICE implemented a major adjustment today regarding weapon and player progression, which should please a lot of players. In addition to that, there are changes coming to the BF Portal as well, and adjustments to weapon bloom.
Have you snagged some developer dog tags yet? If so, leave a comment below and let us know which ones you’ve taken.
