Battlefield 6 Large-Scale Map Images Leak and Comparisons Should Alleviate Beta Concerns
While Battlefield veterans might notice a thing or two that they didn’t like about the ongoing Battlefield 6 Open Beta, possibly the loudest concern we’ve seen online is about the map sizes shown so far.
On X, Facebook, and even Reddit, most shooter fans have noticed that the maps we’ve seen are relatively small compared to past Battlefield maps. While DICE has already confirmed that there are large-scale maps that will be available in the game’s final version, some fans might not have gotten the memo.
If you’re one of the many worried about that, the latest leak should help alleviate your concerns, as two maps have surfaced detailing the size of each one.
Battlefield 6 Large-Scale Maps Leak With Renders and They Are Massive Levels
The images were datamined by the 1BF group, who successfully extracted the files from Battlefield Labs. There are two maps that got mined, with one already confirmed to be in the game based on the official map list, and the other one, which is said to be the first post-release map set to be rolled out as part of Season 1.
The first map shown below is Mirak Valley, which is said to be the biggest map at launch for Battlefield 6.
The map, codenamed “Tungsten” in previous builds of Battlefield 6, is located in Tajikistan, adjacent to a large open mountain range on both sides and a riverbed in the middle.
In addition to that, we also get to see a render of a map called “Eastwood,” which is another big map. Reportedly, this map is planned to be released in the first season of Battlefield 6, and takes place in an elite residential area of California. There’s a golf course, a large villa, and several ruined houses as well. As a bonus, this map appears to introduce new vehicles as well, including a golf cart and a boat.
Similar to anything datamined, please don’t take this as official news. However, having said that, almost all the information datamined from Battlefield Labs appears to be legitimate so far.
So far, the known big maps in the game are: Sobek City, Mirak Valley, and coming at post-launch, Eastwood (might be a codename).
For reference, the two maps were superimposed on Siege of Cairo, which outlines how big they are:
As you can see, both Eastwood and Mirak Valley dwarf Siege of Cairo significantly, with both maps more than doubling Cairo’s overall size. In the case of Mirak Valley, it’s more than quadrupled Cairo’s area.

Unless DICE changes something, Operation Firestorm should be another big-ish map, on which players can expect the full slate of vehicles to be available.
Hopefully, DICE showcases these maps leading up to launch, or better yet, release another beta featuring Mirak Valley, so that concerns will be put to rest. Don’t forget, with Battlefield 6 set to be a live service game, we should be getting new maps, modes and more post-launch for free.
Another concern we’re hoping gets sorted out is the HUD and the UI. These fan-made ones do the trick, and we’re hoping DICE makes some adjustments when Battlefield 6 is released on October 10 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Not particularly enthused by extremely large maps, I liked the BC2 sized maps of the beta. It kept the gameplay focused and a bit less sniper heavy.
Asides from Liberation peak, that map was disgustingly hard to navigate without seeing like 20 sniper glints as you try to hug the only piece of cover that might keep you safe.
It didn’t help that it was mountains. That high ground is always a PITA
That beta map was huge, you are missing remembering mostly due to the nature of rush mode, my fav mode.
