Battlefield Labs Returns Tomorrow to Test December 9 Update
With the release of Battlefield 6, DICE has seemingly put Battlefield Labs on ice. Well, that’s changing tomorrow, as the studio is bringing back the testing grounds.
The developers are bringing back Battlefield Labs online, and this one will test the game’s upcoming December 9 game update changes.
Players who want to participate, this is for PC only. The items to be tested and schedule have been revealed, which we have available below.
Battlefield Labs Returns Online on December 2
The items to be tested are some of the changes and content arriving on December 9 as part of the Winter Offensive patch for Season 1.
Combat improvements under testing
- Audio footstep updates that improve distance perception, surface definition, and enemy audibility.
- Networking and hit registration refinements aimed at more consistent interactions and better responsiveness during close-quarters and high-intensity combat.
- Broader adjustments across key combat systems that influence all experiences, evaluated through focused Labs testing.
Those interested, the schedule is as follows for PC:
- APAC: Tuesday, December 2 from 8-10 PM JST
- EU: Tuesday, December 2 from 7-9 PM CET
- NA: Tuesday, December 2 from 4-6 PM PST
While not mentioned as being tested in BF Labs, some of the other key improvements set to be part of the December 9 patch include visibility improvements for enemies, and even hotkey buttons to be removed on PC, so players don’t accidentally switch classes upon spawning.
