Are you unhappy with or painfully regret your current StarCraft 2 name? If so, the folks over at Blizzard are offering players a chance to redeem themselves with a free name change.

All you have to do is just follow these simple steps:

• Log into your Battle.net account
• Select account management
• Select Starcraft II from your game license
• Use the drop down list to select change character name
• Select an region in which you will like to use an available name change
• Once selected, click use name change to confirm your request
• Log into Starcraft II and you’ll promoted to select a new name

Note: Free name changes do not stack, so if you had one ready for use previous to today’s free name change, it will be replaced.

Additionally, the folks over at Blizzard have also mentioned that they are re-evaluating their approach to the name change process internally in order to offer free name changes much more frequently going forward. Expect more details on a later date.
