During the PAX Prime event that was held last weekend, Gearbox Software, developers behind the Borderlands 2, have finally announced the release date to it’s fifth playable character, the Mechromancer. Randy Pitchford, the president of Gearbox Software, has stated that Borderlands 2 players will get to experience The Mechromancer character class when it drops on October 16th, for a hefty price tag of $10.00.
But, for those of you who don’t want to pay for the Mechromancer character, just head on to your nearest Gamestop and pre-order Borderlands 2 since doing so nets you a free upgrade to the Premium Club that includes a token that let’s you download the Mechromancer class for free. This also includes the Gamestop exclusive bonus the Creature Slaughter Dome.

Borderlands 2 is set to release on September 18th in the North America region and September 21th internationally, for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms.
