Gearbox has not announced anything offical regarding today’s patch, but did share this note on a workaround:

We're working hard on fixing the loop issue but as a workaround, here's how to navigate it:

Launch the game in offline mode. Once you reach the main menu, re-connect to the internet.

We’re guessing that today’s patch should negate the need for a workaround, but if it doesn’t take, let us know down in the comments below. Aside from Borderlands GOTY Edition getting the patch, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection have all been affected by the bug as well, so don’t be surprised to see a patch drop for those games, too.

If the studio announces anything regarding today’s patch, we’ll update the post.
