The cast of Eli Roth’s Borderlands film universe continues to get bigger and bigger, as the Borderlands movie has cast Dutch bodybuilder Olivier Richters as Krom — adding a pretty huge presence to the impressive line-up of the film adaptation.
As reported by IGN, Richters will bring to life one of the first boss characters from the original Borderlands game.
A former prison warden named Leslie, Krom became the second in command of the Bandits under Baron Flynt — and antagonizes the player in the game when he holds a vault key item that can only be obtained by defeating him. Using a turret that fires machine gun rounds and rockets, Krom is literally defenseless without it and is easily defeated once you get that out of the way. He drops a repeater once he is killed in the game — which is a unique item called Krom’s Sidearm and is filled with unique properties as compared to other pistols.
While it is his first starring role in a movie based on a video game, Richters has also featured in new and upcoming films such as Black Widow and The King’s Man. He joins an impressive cast, which just added Edgar Ramirez as Atlas.
