Last week, we reported that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout split screen feature has been silently pulled by Treyarch, with no ETA given on when it’ll be back.

Well, now we know exactly when players can play Black Ops 4′ Blackout split screen co-op once again! Over on Twitter, Treyarch announced that the split screen for Blackout will be back on July 9 as part of the game’s big patch.

Alcatraz will return to on all platforms on July 9th, along with a dark new twist coming to Alcatraz in Operation Apocalypse Z. Splitscreen co-op will also be restored in all Blackout modes with our July 9th update alongside new Blackout map updates.

Hopefully, this split-screen feature will also have significant technical improvements when it’s rolled back out.

In other Black Ops 4 news, Treyarch rolled out a server-side update that brings the Fourth of July event, and the studio has also announced the game’s next Operation is due next week (July 9).
