Last night marked the beginning of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive PC Beta – a highly anticipated first-person shooter by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. Of course, the biggest question on everyone’s mind is “how do I get in the beta?”
As stated on the official Counter-Strike website, “Be active in the CS community. We are giving keys out to active players both in game and in the community.” This week, beta keys will be handed out to the top 7000 most active players across CS:S and CS 1.6 worldwide. On top of that, keys will also be given out to the to 500 CS:GO players who have been enjoying the recent stress test as well.
For the general public, Valve stated, “we will also have a survey up in the coming weeks that can help you get your name on the list for a key.”
During the beta, the teams behind CS:GO will be looking into things like map balance, player skill, strategies, and weapons and use this feedback to better the final product. Be sure to visit the FAQ to have all your questions answered.
