Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, or more commonly known as CS:GO, is still raking in players even after years of being out (two decades if you count the original Counter-Strike). Case in point: The CS:GO concurrent player count has now reached an all-time high of one million!
This was mentioned by the Steam Database Twitter account that also mentioned that CS:GO is now the third game in history to do this insanely amazing feat! The other two? PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and DOTA 2.
CS:GO has set a new record of ONE million concurrent players, which makes it the third @Steam game to do so. 🚀
Congratulations to the @CSGO team!https://t.co/bzLMfMOJvD pic.twitter.com/6URuTSKk6g

While there are a ton of shooters out there right now, it seems Counter-Strike’s longevity just can’t be beat. Mind, given how a lot of people around the world are advised to stay at home due to the COVID-19 epidemic, I suspect a lot of online games will be getting a lot of love the next few days and weeks.
Are you surprised at CS:GO’s staying power and how it managed to reach one million concurrent players? Are you still playing CS:GO?
