Cyberpunk 2077 FAQ for Next-Gen Confirms No PS4/PS5 Trophy Transfer, Dropping Win7 Support & More

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.60

Alongside today’s big Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen release and title update, CD Projekt RED has updated the Cyberpunk 2077 FAQ, and it touches on a lot of issues with the next-gen transition for gamers (particularly on PlayStation platforms), Windows 7 support and more. Note that the FAQ below tackles the “hot issues” that CDPR has listed and updated the support page with.

Cyberpunk 2077 FAQ for Next-Gen and More:

PlayStation:

Unable to update the game to the next-gen update

For disc owners in order to download the Next Gen update the CUSA (PlayStation code) from your disc has to match your PlayStation account region.
You can check out the codes here.

My trophies didn’t transfer to the next-gen update

Unfortunately, as the next-gen version has a different SKU, PlayStation trophies obtained thanks to backward compatibility will not be transferred. You will need to meet the requirements once again to unlock them.

How do I transfer my save file to the next-gen update?

If you are playing the PlayStation 4 version of the game, you will be able to select one save file to upload to the cloud. Once you launch the PlayStation 5 version, you will then be able to download it. This method allows you to transfer between different devices, doesn’t require a PlayStation Plus subscription and only one save file is supported.

If you are playing on a PlayStation 5 console via backwards compatibility, once you download the next-gen version of the game, your PlayStation 5 will automatically read your save files.

How do I update my game to the next-gen?

It is necessary to manually download the dedicated next-gen version of the game from either the PlayStation Store or your library. To update disc copies, players need a PlayStation 5 console with a disc drive and have it inserted in order to download and play the game.

While it’s possible to have both versions of the game on your PlayStation 5, we suggest deleting the PlayStation 4 version to save disk space

Windows 7: future support

Due to technical limitations of non-native DirectX 12 implementation on Windows 7, and the end of, or limited, support for graphics drivers, game updates will not be supporting Windows 7 after June 15, 2022. If updated with patches published after that time, the game may stop working on this operating system.

Isn’t there a free upgrade to the PS5 version if you have the PS4 version of the game? Because i still have to pay $24,99 even though i have the PS4 version. Why do i still need to pay for the next gen version.

You didn’t read the instructions. You need to have the disc inserted in the PS5, then download the Ps5 from the PS store. The upgrade is free.
