Cyberpunk 2077 Revamped Police System Inbound for Update 2.0 Outlined by CDPR

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.000.100

In case you didn’t know, there’s a big free update coming to all gamers when Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC arrives this September. Chief among these changes? The Cyberpunk 2077 revamped police system which will be available to all players as part of the big Update 2.0 patch.

Cyberpunk 2077 Revamped Police System Details:

According to CD Projekt RED, they rebuilt the system on a simple rule: criminal activity is punished in Night City, no questions asked. All the features in the revamped police system are designed to support clarity and to aid the simple but expanded prevention loop.

Players can expect their UI (User Interface) to indicate all states of the prevention system (Heat). Those who reach the maximum level of Heat (5 stars), CDPR has a nasty surprise in store with the Max Tac mini boss, which will include various archetypes.

For players who decide to run, there’s also engaging car chases and roadblocks planned to make escaping more difficult. According to the devs, the new NPCD will have “no mercy” when they catch the player, and they will not accept any bribes from you nor surrender.

Furthermore, as a player, you will know when the police are not after you anymore. NPCs will depart the scene in a way that is natural and intuitive. Players can lose the fuzz by running away from the crime scene on foot or driving away.
