Dark Alliance Devs Rebrand to “Invoke Studios,” Working on New “AAA” Dungeons & Dragons Game

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance developer Torque Games is now known as “Invoke Studios,” and what’s more, the studio has now been confirmed to be working on a new “AAA” D&D game, too.

This was confirmed by D&D publisher Wizards of the Coast in a press release, where it also states, ““a AAA game derived from the Dungeons & Dragons universe and developed on the Unreal 5 engine.” Invoke is being led by Dominic Guay, a 20-year veteran who acted as Senior Producer on the first two Watch Dogs games before signing on to Invoke in 2021.

While there’s no word yet on what kind of game this new D&D game is, chances are, it’ll be an action-adventure game, or an RPG. Whatever genre it is, the studio seems to be gearing up for something big, as they are shoring up from 80 employees to more than 200 by 2025.

Our review of Dark Alliance touched on a title that showed promise, but had co-op issues when it was released. You can read the entire thing right here.
