Darkest Dungeon 2 Update 1.04 Brings Black Screen, Gameplay Fixes This Aug. 8
Red Hook Studios has released Darkest Dungeon 2 update 1.04 on consoles this August 8, and this brings a bunch of fixes touching on gameplay, technical issues like the black screen bug happening on all platforms, and more. Read on for what got tweaked by the studio in the patch notes below.
Darkest Dungeon 2 Update 1.04 Patch Notes for Aug. 8:
General
- Fix for the black screen on obtaining relationship at Embark screen
- Fixed the missing input for back button after character selection Encounters
- Fixed the bug where players couldn’t continue after return to the main menu
- Resolved the issue where Resistance Encounters didn’t reduce Loathing
- Reverted changes to Man-at-Arms that were an early WIP version for our upcoming PC patch
Console Specific Issues:
PS4/PS5
Bug Fixes:
- Resolved the scenario where players could not proceed past any character selection sections – Assistance encounters, Oasis etc. (SIEJA specific blocker)
- Fixed the stagecoach rotating around its axis when it is standing still
- Resolved an issue where 3 Trophies were not unlocking
Xbox One/Series
- Fixed the save bug which resulted in progress loss
- Fixed the error where DLC appeared to be missing after using Quick Resume
- Fixed shaking that occurred while driving in a long game session
It doesn’t seem this patch has fixed all the issues, and with the PC version just getting the Dark Side of the Mountain beta update, expect another major patch for the game at some point in the future.
