Well, here’s something I didn’t have on my 2025 Bingo card. As announced by THQ during their THQ showcase, Darksiders is returning with a brand-new adventure. This is not a spinoff, but rather a new sequel, which was teased last year.

That’s right, Darksiders 4 is coming, and it continues where the first game left off.

War, Death, Fury, and Strife. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Are Finally Here

Details are still relatively light, though THQ did confirm where the game takes place in terms of story, which is directly where the original game ended. You’ll be able to choose which horseman you get to play as, with the promise of cinematic combat and an expansive world to explore.

About the Game (via official website)

The legendary saga of the Four Horsemen continues in Darksiders 4, an all-new action-adventure set in an apocalyptic version of earth and continues where the original Darksiders game left off.

Darksiders 4 is a 3rd person action adventure game featuring combat, traversal and puzzle solving in a lore rich post apocalyptic world.

Game Features:

  • Choose Your Horseman – Take up one of the legendary Horsemen—each with their own unique weapons and combat styles
  • Cinematic Combat – Experience fast-paced, visceral action blending melee, fluid traversal, and supernatural abilities.
  • Expansive Realms to Explore – Journey through apocalyptic landscapes – each teeming with secrets, enemies, and mythic bosses.

No release date has been announced yet, but we do know it will be released on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. At the moment, no Nintendo Switch 2 version has been announced. The title, which was previously teased by THQ last year, is now available to wishlist on the platforms mentioned above.
