Following its long and troubled development, Dambuster has announced that Dead Island 2 has been delayed for a few months. Instead of February 3, 2023, the game will now be released on April 28, 2023.
According to Dambuster, the irony of delaying Dead Island 2 isn’t lost on them, and that fans can expect a new trailer featuring gameplay at the Dead Island 2 Showcase set to air this December 6.

Those interested will be able to watch the Dead Island 2 Showcase via Twitch, YouTube or on the game’s official website.
This is a bummer to hear for sure, but the right move to do, as a delayed game is better than releasing one that’s full of bugs and/or unfinished.
